same here mate thats the reason i gave it up couldnt afford it! the cost of tyres and cost of repair when i smashed it! went electric for a year though and that was still just as fun and A LOT cheaper
thing with the renault engines is not every 172 makes the 172bhp or ps or what ever it is so you will get full fats that are faster than cups and cups that are faster than full fats etc (same driver, conditions etc)
so its all down to driver really
ahh right maby not then i just thought with the doors being the same and people using MK1 172 interiors in their cars that they fitted maby needs a bit of modding

my D4F 16v has done 118,000 miles in 3 years with only the coil pack failing.
needed a new clutch at 116,000 but thats expected with this millage.

i thought the trip computer was built into the dials though? so you juts needed to change the wiper stalk so you had the button on the end (just a thought)
im not changing dials if i cant adjust the millage though, because it looks kinda dodgey when it comes to selling the car since im at...
hi, i might be able to get my hands on a set of the phase 3 dials, the one with the screen to replace the coolant temp and fuel guage.
was just wondering if they are a straight swap for my dials ie. no extra wiring. also my car doesnt have a trip computer so would i just have to change the...
hmm i dont think i get anywhere near 200miles to £20 quid, never really tested it though.
could an induction kit make much of a difference? because thats the only engine mod ive got.
how hard did u drive it to do that in 12,000 miles! mine is still the factory head gasket on 120,000 so no its not a common fault as ive never heard of any others going
