Changing dials 1.2 16v

hi, i might be able to get my hands on a set of the phase 3 dials, the one with the screen to replace the coolant temp and fuel guage.

was just wondering if they are a straight swap for my dials ie. no extra wiring. also my car doesnt have a trip computer so would i just have to change the steering stalk and i could use that?

Also what about millage, how can i get it corrected to what my car has acctually done?

No its not a simple swap over.

The wiring is slightly different.

Millage cannot be adjusted

and trip computer wont work, only Dynamique models have them IIRC and other models around that type

i thought the trip computer was built into the dials though? so you juts needed to change the wiper stalk so you had the button on the end (just a thought)

im not changing dials if i cant adjust the millage though, because it looks kinda dodgey when it comes to selling the car since im at 118,000 miles

No itsall calculated etc from the carnot the dials.

just by changing the stalk wont give u the use of it etc...

bit of a hi-jack, but i have a really early mk2 ph1 - with all the trip computer etc. - would the later sets of dials with the BIG rev counter work in my car?

Duck - different connector on the back of it.

(have seen the backs which differ)

Martin - u can get them re-done but yes it is costly!!

If u actually speak to them, some Clio II clocks cant be changed,

Has is right, some clio 2 clocks cannot be adjusted for milage due to them having a back up ROM on the board.
the trip wont work as its programmed into the ECU and a different wiring loom for the clocks the connectors are the same but the pins on the blocks are different
