He stated he would be more accurate over range with twiddling his thumbs on some contraption. I said that mouse accuracy would prove he was clearly wrong. Oh well...

You're not m8 - I thought it was something obvious and straight-forward too. By default, I always enfore VSync on, but on the two games mentioned (Skyrim and Company of Heroes) - it made no difference and was unplayable as it was annoying. The YT clip below is EXACTLY what it was doing on...
Excellent Dink - that's stopped me chopping that in half and breaking it! :)
I might stick to the flexi cable Rhys, but clearly it's not perfect. I'd much prefer a 90mm rigid bracket - but they seems to be like hen's teeth in the UK... :(

Chaps,
I've had some tearing in onscreen graphics with the two GTX460's - but only in a few games. Of the ones I've played over the last fews days since getting the SLi bridge, just Skyrim and Company of Heroes of shown tearing. BF3, Shogun 2 and everything else have been fine.
My gfx card...
....currently got 18mins, 31secs to wait until I try this. Steam's doing a healthy download rate. :)
Paid full whack for it (£34.99) - but it's got 95/100 on metacritic which Steam links too. Only the original Bioshock, and of course, Half-Life 2 have scored higher on there at 96/100.

I can vouch for that - I don't see any benefit on my 1TB O/S drive over a previous SATAII offering. Probably would see something in benchmarks, but in real-world terms, I don't notice it!

How does that work? I R confused?
It's like a very dumbed down XBL. Far from perfect, but it does do the job for online support, downloads, connections, patches, etc.

I'm really keen to see what 3DMark2011 kicks out in terms of score with this. I suspect the entry-level i7 CPU powering it, will actually be the limiting factor...

Should be installing this over the weekend at some point. Unfortunately, not into my PC however.... :(
Being connected to three 27" Iiyama screens too, so hopefully it will look pretty impressive!
Never really understood the need for semi-naked people/slightly homo-erotic pictures on gfx...
It does seem a little random at times. Four bursts fail to drop a guy, who quickly spins and drops me with one burst. Yet conversely, I've gone almost toe-to-toe with someone blasting away at me with an SMG and I've capped him with two rounds from the M9 pistol. :)
As with most things online...
Yep - what we really need out now is an XBox 720 and PS4 to be released! Kick-start some wow-factor into the mix. :)
In all seriousness though, I don't mind consoles. I've got a 360 myself and think that Forza 4 is great and I'm really liking the new Batman AC game on it. I just get my back up...
Well, that's a slight improvement - lol.
On a single GTX460 at standard settings, the 3DMark2011 demo came up with a score of 3,355. Attach an SLi cable and re-run it - 6,592 on two GTX460s.
nVidia (and presumably ATi?) have clearly made big inroads into multi-GPU functionality these days. I...
Ironically, the need to constantly replace hardware has slowed down greatly. As more and more games become multi-platform (frustratingly so for PC owners) - the games get held back from a technological perspective, in order to function on the consoles.
Owning an uber-PC (which unfortunately, I...
Lol - it is a bit frustrating how the AI totally ignores any of your team-mates and simply hones in on your position. They also operate on a watered-down wall-hack basis (exactly as the AI bots do on COD) - where they are shooting through walls at your position that they couldn't possibly know...
Have you reinstalled the AGP and IDE drivers?
http://asrock.com/mb/download.asp?Model=GE%20PRO-M2&o=XP
Windows will run without them, but quite often there's a significant performance benefit from installing core drivers.

A total novice at online in this - just had two quick goes and have cracked Level 1 - lol. Slightly concerned that it seems extremely keen to ram achievements/ranks down your throat at a rate of knots (no doubt to keep the 12-year-old COD converts happy) - but I'll look past that hopefully...
Just finished the SP campaign - quite enjoyable overall apart from the silly press E key/Space bar/LMB in 1 nanosecond, action interludes. I actually 'died' more often in those sections of the game than I did in getting shot at!
Loved the attack of the villa level near the end of the game. Well...
Anyone know what the SP campaign is like? I don't give a flying rat's ass about the playground-mentality online s**t.
The COD campaigns have always been good so far. Is this any different?
Cheers,
D.
Not tried MP on this yet - by large helis, do you mean transports? I know on Battlefield 2142, piloting a transport used to get the pilot points - especially if he stayed aloft for lengthy periods of time. That said, they did have some defence - two gunners operated door-mounted turrets.

I agree. Charging in with a suit-boosted sprint, then quick changing to 'Maximum strength' and doing a Chuck Norris chin move on some unsuspecting Korean. Quality.
