Chaps,
Can a replacement be pretty much any standard optical drive? Or does it have to be a specific one?
The one at work has finally decided to say F.O to any disc you wish to insert.
Cheers,

I live over in Crowhill at the minute. Work's up in Blackburn though. :)
Having a look through several links earlier regarding Office 2010 activation and came across this. Is it just me or when you get to Post 10, does it all go a little bit, erm..... weird...
Great - just great. id can't even prioritise the PC as the flagship platform of choice. f**king turncoats.
I'll let you know how I get on tonight - fecking s**t by the sounds of it as I run two 4890's in Crossfire....

My brain's dribbling from my ears.....
While Adam's suggestion of VAMT is much better than the command line shat - it's still a fecking nightmare to get running. It's still not resolved and I'm very close to 'cashing in' one of our Microsoft Tech requests in order to get this running.
I would...
+1 zillion
Fecking wireless. Dogs**t. It has its place, but it's such a compromise. Bought another powerline adapter pair just this week - brilliant bits of kits. Zero fuss to setup too.

There's no arguing that there will be better ones out there - but for the money, they are brilliant. Used them for years at home - even back in the CRT days. Currently run on a 26" Iiyama at home and their customer services are superb.
They make nothing other than displays and screens, so they...
Very true! The stock cooler on an i7 allows approximately 0.0000000012Mhz increase over stock before it overheats and shuts down. Intel got away with the absolute bare minimum needed to keep those things cool at stock speeds.
As for blowing out the dust, it depends what you blow it out with :)...
Well done - a great area to have one too!
I went up there earlier in the year with a m8 of mine, though we didn't get over to your side of Scotland. Loved it that much that I need to go back next year...
Iiyama, baby.... :)

Not sure if it's worth paying the extra £44 or so to go to the 22" version, for you? That said, I went from 19" to 26" and it felt like my screen size had quadrupled. ;)

Just how much do I hate 3rd person perspective!!! ;)
Such a flawed interface. The camera angle can't maintain accuracy to the way you're facing (as clearly is the case in a 1st person FPS) so you end up side-swiping mid-air often in melee combat. Ranged weapons aren't so bad, but up close is...
Cameron - what's your postcode like for insurance in general? I renewed mine two weeks ago and some insurers flatly refused to consider me when I told them the postcode. They didn't even get as far as asking what car it was I was trying to insure!
I'm 36, been driving since I was 17, clean...
;)
Serious question though. Please, please, PLEASE tell me that BF3 doesn't come with an auto-aim or aim-assist tickbox? That will proper feck me off.

Interiors do very little for me. They are probably one of the least important aspects of any car I care to drive. But what is that grey monolith of shite up above in the centre? Hideous. :dead:

1,000% sure that you (or someone else with access to it) has been accepting software or acknowledgement buttons of the self-fcuking-over variety.
You could spend minutes, hours or days trying to rectify the damage to the O/S. But unless you've some idea what's caused it - the instant you go...
Even with the size of and might of a company like Microsoft, you expect them to provide download managers, direct downloads and torrents of a demo that big.
Ah, wait... ;)
