It'll be getting used as my practice car for using a machine polisher anyway so we'll see. I'll get back to you after my first track day though [emoji23]
I keep forgetting people will be using tapatalk and so can't see the event details. Provisionally, 7:30pm. Tried half 6 last time and it was a nightmare for some with traffic along the M8.
I'll put the time and stuff in the first post and keep it updated for those using tapatalk.
This has just reminded me I need to go and see VW about a cupra splitter for mine!
All these pics make me want to clean up my ph1 and just not track it :(
Nice one Danny, least we've got some pics now!
I've updated the location. Only fair that we go back across to the East, although I'd have preferred somewhere like Livingston as it's slightly more central, but just about everywhere in Livingston is paid parking, so that's no use.
@rctempire...
Nice one @Dannyeff! Take it that was all you managed to get where one of us weren't walking in front of you 😂
Possibly mate, although it's a nightmare with the weather just now. My car was minging by the time I got to Braehead there lol! If we can get a few decent pictures of the...
So, as before, this is our regular monthly meet for the South East/West of Scotland areas.
They'll be on the 3rd Thursday of every month, alternating between a few different general locations around the central belt, so it's fair for everyone.
Myself and/or Djw John will always try to be in...
No worries mate! Yeah I didn't realise it would lock it when I deleted the event. Will be creating a new thread for next months but just haven't got round to it yet. Been a bit busy with other things.
I'll tag people in the thread when I get it up:) hopefully get a decent turn out for it again.
Yeah I had a quick look earlier but didn't see anything that was specifically 'monthly' as such. But I can see what you're saying now.
The issue isn't really when the meets are up and coming, if people are chatting about it then it'll always stay near the top and be visible. It's more for when...
Yeah, I've changed the location because the next one wont be in Glasgow. I don't have a location yet, hence TBC. The date updates automatically, but I changed the location myself when I realised it still said Glasgow. I haven't got round to updating the first post yet.
I've not seen any of the...
Cheers to everyone that came along tonight! Wasn't exactly busy but good to meet folk all the same. I'm glad to be home and warm again though lol!
Nah, no blue and yellow 172's to be seen!
No worries, I do the exact same most days after work lol so I can't blame you. Was pretty decent...
Don't know really mate. I'll probably have a scout about if I'm there early enough and put something up here. I'm thinking roughly round to the side of xscape car park that's nearest the river (if that makes sense)
@CallyTeee @Ritch_Kid26 @Shocker @steve32c @run_pug @-Jamie- will any of you lot be coming along to this tonight?
Also any guys from over my way/general east direction going to be heading through?
I wouldn't say it's common enough to use it as a factor against buying one, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for signs of any problems. I've never stuck a new one on mine, but that's partly because I couldn't afford to do it with the belts and they were overdue at the time. As for...
Its more the fact that if it fails you'll likely need new injectors and to flush the whole system out. I'd say if you got a reconditioned pump for £250 you could get it on the car with a timing belt change for £500-600. So no more than a 1*2 belt and dephaser would cost.
Belts are a lot more...
That's pretty much exactly what I was meaning. Its still uneven power distribution in a way.
Uneven length driveshafts will always give torque steer (in something with a bit more than a Clio anyway lol) with the power taking the path of least resistance, or the shorter one. Without the initial...
Inner ones can go but if there's no play they shouldn't be a problem.
I'm at a loss if the alignment is correct. Only thing I can think is that its driveshaft related, with uneven power going to each wheel. Not sure what would cause it though.
