Ok, so my current set up is a Samsung 840 EVO 250gb SSD, an OCZ (vertex 3 I think) SSD also 250gb , and a 2TB HDD.
I've fired a clean windows install on to the Samsung drive as that's replacing my OCZ one. All my documents and data are set to be on the HDD which is how I want it, but I'm trying...
Welcome mate! Cracking car you've got yourself there. There's loads of the Scottish lads with track cars they take up knockhill, I'm hoping to get mine up next year so will probably see you there!
Always usually a decent bit of info in the Scottish region section along with info for other meets...
Lol! I've had another look there, 106FA is supposedly SF4000, and 85RD is SF4500, although there's conflicting answers everywhere! I guess a better question would be if I'm using 203s, is there any need for something with a 4/10 cut after that or will the 2/10 cut do the job?
Reckon I'll go...
Well that might explain why my scuttle panel looks so s**t. Just made me realise I never removed the excess when I applied it the other week lol!
OT, what hex pads should I be going for if I'll be using menzerna 203s? A mate swears by the orange pad as a general workhorse but I thought that...
Those are the best exhausts lol! What one you went for mate?
I'd bet that Corsa had been remapped if it pulled away that well. A mates nurburgring edition one (202hp compared with 189hp in standard trim) couldn't pull a car length on me in my ph1 lol, they're just too heavy. A simple re map...
I'm still debating this. It's a no brainer as far as phone tech is concerned for me, but I don't know if I can bring myself to switch to android after using iOS (jailbroken) for so long!
I'm the same really! Got harnesses that I'll mount to the floor for now but want to get them mounted so they're sitting horizontal in future. Plus it looks a bit more purposeful lol. I've emailed them so I'll let you know if I hear back tomorrow or that.
Anybody heard of and/or used Chizfab in Lochgelly for any steel fabrication work? Looking at getting a half cage made up, but can't really bring myself to pay the prices of a Safety Devices one or similar.
So this happened at the weekend
Ripped out the whole rear interior. No idea on just how much weight it's saved but I'd guess it's about 20-30kg. Probably not enough to make a noticeable performance difference but every little helps.
Will be attacking it tomorrow with some strong degreaser...
@Dannyeff I thought you meant the one at The Fort after I had a look lol! That's not a bad shout though for Braehead, I was just thinking parking at Xscape is easier if we're going to go to Nandos. May just have to play it by ear and see where's quietest on the night.
Genuinely don't have a clue where or what that is LOL! I'll go have a swatch of google maps and see. If it'll be quieter (and has nandos) it's probably a good shout.
I definitely need to turn that on then. If that was my video you'd have struggled to see the traffic lights! Is that the narrow video setting? I was using the wide 1080p setting, but didn't realise just how wide it would be.
This finally turned up today. Had a play about with it tonight and went out a drive. Ended up leaving the lens cover on and only noticed when I came back in lol! Take 2 was more successful. Driving on unlit roads is pretty much just complete darkness on the camera though. Does turning the wide...
Cheers mate! Tell me about it. I did account for the belts and dephaser when buying it though, and I've managed to come in at £2.82 under what I originally planned on spending  I can definitely see me throwing a fair bit of money into this though. More than would be classed as 'budget'...
Another couple of jobs down! Timing was slightly out according to SWR. The car does feel like it pulls a bit harder higher up the rev range now, but more importantly the engine is quiet for once!
Temp gauge is now going up to halfway too, so it's good to know the thermostat change was...
Here's hoping anyway! I'll need to remember and ask how the timing was when they remove the belt.
Yeah it's mental money for them! They do sound rather awesome though.
It's strange how noisy the dephaser is yet the car still pulls brilliantly. Comparing it with a couple of other cars it certainly doesn't seem down on power. Would always be a bonus if it pulled better after getting it sorted though.
Makes sense that about the exhaust. I'll see how it goes when...
Dropped the car off at SWR today ready for getting the belts, dephaser, water pump and thermostat changed, with some new oil and coolant. Looking forward to having an engine that doesn't rattle like f**k anymore! They're also going to have a look at my oil leak from the gearbox/driveshaft and...
