I actually prefer the skirmish modes where it gives you free rein. Make sure that if you play the skirmish modes, that you launch the Tribes of the East expansion as that adds more units/objects to the game. I'm 90% of the time using the necropolis 'faction' - getting pretty handy with that lot...

It all depends on just how much use time you'll be commiting to the game and the wheel. I've got a G25 and tbh, I don't use it enough to reflect just how awesome a device it actually is. I've used with with F1 2010 and it's absolutely bang on for it. My nephew has got over 500 hours logged on...

Wrong CPU - a Xeon for gaming? :S Also the 4350 will be woefully adequate at best. Things like Bejeweled 3 might be ok, but I wouldn't want to even try WoW on it. That said, a seperate 3850 can run Half-Life 2 absolutely fine - so he might get away with it. But unless he spends his free-time...

Those connectors are usually proprietary to the make & model of the graphics card - such as Matrox with their old Millenium cards and nVidia with the Quadros. Nothing wrong with that of course, but just something to be aware of. :) D.

Yep. Im thinking of ditching the Crossfire'd 4890's at some point. Still good cards, but they can be tested on some games with the highest settings. Still, I paid hardly anything for them, so I can't complain. :) D.
