yeah, if you floor it at the moment the front of the car sounds like the wheels are jumping up and the engine is about to jump out of its bay, very loud juddering motion when the traction control kicks in to try and stop the wheels from spinning.
no it was different, more blended in covert rather than some bright blue thing sticking out of the roof!
I would find the original thread with the pics in but the search function doesnt really allow me that pleasure these days!
really, must just be the very first ones that didnt then, mine was a March delivery and didnt have it.
It must have only become apparent on here around june then maybe
well june was around the time these new fangled blue nipples came in AFAIK.
R U sure you havent got a blue thing up by the rear view mirror in the roof?
If not you will have two mesh/holed plastic vents in the interior light assembly which is the old way?
there were some photos knocking...
i can recall this too, and i also remember it being a brand new car which they had to run in, then autocar had the car afterwards and it was just run in and they got a 6.3. I bet with a fully run in model now you will find they will touch the 6 second mark.
Plus, for my two pence worth on the...
early 182s (like mine for instance) have a much superior camourflaged (sp) high tech system that they dropped for a cheaper tackier blue nipple
our cars still have the same function its just that its not so noticable!
oh and apart from the standard knocking at low speeds which was solved in the first couple of weeks of ownership mine has been a good little runaround!

Mine were amazing at Spa, but I have a feeling its taken its toll on them. The car is in for a few bits on Wednesday so Ive asked them to check them out and replace them if need be. Ive covered 9k so far.
Mine too were amazing at Spa...
mine takes about 15 minutes to warm up and then my limiter is definitely over 7k revs, it is colder at the mo so does take up to 20 minutes some times.

if we are talking the standard WRX (20k one) then the test in autocar this week showed the 182 to beat the wrx around the track so for my money, i would still pick the 182.
Golf GTi is nice and for a family car and long distance driving it is probably nice but would never handle like a 182...
cool, sounds good to me, as i said before I had a few things done to my car including adjustments to my exhaust and heat shield at the same time so couldnt pinpoint what the cause was but the engineer did grease that engine mount and it was after that that the knocking stopped.
Had I known it...
i have no idea what you are talking about?
is it the cover that goes under the engine so you cant see the floor through it? if so then yes it does but thats just guessing at what you are on about.
my test in the 172 wa a drive litterally around the dealership in a square (renault wolverhampton) and lasted no more than 5 minutes and didnt go above 30 mph, i was very disappointed.
