i use CCI (competition car insurance) and it costs about 1% of the sum insured so for an 11k car about £110 for the day with a large excess, but i always go for it. not worth the risk IMO.

its a bit silly really, I did a skid pan day at rockingham last weekend and they have weight and height restrictions of 18 stone and 62" i think which is a load of rubbish as it was a standard BMW 3 series with normal seat belts.
anybody else notice that the seat Ibizas pic against that new suzuki swift was mistaken for a 182!
also, did anyone notice the Fiesta ST exhausts pic were actually the 182 cups and they had printed the wrong pic as the ST has an exhaust to the right of the bumper and they went on about twin...
your windows will always steam up in any car if you are using the air re-circulation button for a while, its what happens.
nothing wrong, just dont use it unless you are behind a dirty lorry or something then switch it back afterwards and it will be fine.
r u sure? you cant turn the ESP totally off, it comes back on after about 25-30 mph so wouldnt make any difference out of first gear really.
Think the 225 would only feel faster because of the turbo, the 255 will be quicker as the 225 is only really as quick of the mark as the 182 and the v6...
mine have lasted very well, i treat them mean and they keep me kean!
I have done 3 trackdays with some very hard driving and cornering on them and they lasted 13k which is very good as I couldnt really have treated them any worse.
i hit 7k every time i go out in the car and it doesnt do it for me but then i am sure you are probably imagining faults now as you are paranoid that everything is not as it should be.......
As for the clio cup, I also drove one a few months ago and I though it was like a bag of nails, could...
i know what you mean, mine seems to be getting quicker all the time! I even gave a 911 a bit of a scare last night when i stuck behind him on a DC last night up to quite a pace.....
well like i said then, you need to get it on a track to see what the car is really made of and then you will not say a bad word about it! It is far from fragile and very sure footed and easy to throw around corners with confidence.
they are a hot hatch, hard suspension not a bloody cruiser like a vectra.
When you go round a corner in a vectra it would be like a barge compared to a 182, everybody knows they are going to rattle but for most, it doesnt matter because of how amazing they are in all other areas, just get...
yeah, it was pretty obvious when they hadnt, over 60mph the steering wheel was shaking, they had got the weights totally wrong. was sorted though and now is fine.
I dont mind mistakes like that, the only thing I was cr*pping myself about was them scratching the wheels, which they didnt.

oh and regarding the post above, that price includes free delivery by transporter and not driven so that makes them...
I was quoted £25 a tyre fitting from my local dealer, got them done elsewhere for £10 a tyre which was the cheapest in my area I could find.
They didnt scratch the alloys but did balance them wrong so did have to go back and get them re-balanced but there is no way I would give Renault the...
