Yours are the only ASTs I have experience of actually. Never actually driven on any other coilover setups, so can't compare to anything else really.
Not really after lowness in particular, although it can't harm! I've got the car to the ideal height I like on the Gaz's.

It's very very common for the head to leak oil, the head bolts are the cause, and not the head gasket. Stop them doing it, now. Infact stop them doing the cambelt as well if they don't have the Renault locking tools!
Well everyone goes on about getting 172 coilovers machined out to fit the 182 hubs, but would like to hear from some one who definately knows what to do.
The trophy setup can indeed be lowered on the mark fish eibach springs, but would like to know how that compares with AST's or KW v2s

What would people recommend in regards to cup packed suspension?
Are Gaz golds prone to leaking just as much as the cheap gaz's?

All 3 cam lobes are rotating at the same time, but normally only the two rocker arms either side are lifted. When V-tec kicks in y0, the middle rocker arm is locked into place, and utilises the higher middle cam profile.
