Re: Panting The Rocker Cover.... use paint stripper once its off. then degrease it properly and he should be fine. can get heat resistant paint in a range of colour now as well. no idea whats involved in taking it off lol

renault cover should cover towing for a year with no doubts. Because its such an unusual problem on a new car i assume they'd tow it free of charge in any instance.

black rims with carbon would look better, but white rims with a blue car would also be a better combo. I think white wheels carbon bonnet would look good, and different :)

you'll be fine using a 1.2 16v backbox tbh. otherwise pop down your local powerflow centre and get a price on a custom made one. shouldnt be too much as a cat back is 250ish

dremel the tray out, spray it silver to match the centrepiece and then resin it back into place?

was thinking: if i disconnected the battery and left it, would the light come back on when it restarted? i.e. does it get stored in the memory somewhere lol

dont think you can chrome plate plastic. however i do think they can use a form of paint which gives the effect. similar to the plasti-kote chrome stuff you can buy.

ben_P will have a go and see what happens. have arranged to have a local garage remove the light, and will then take it to my exhaust centre to remove the sensor. is bolt the best way to do it?

my g/fs got a 1.4 16v SXi, with around 95 bhp. Should do 0-60 in around 10 secs so not a bad little engine. Also she has no rattles and they are a much 'smoother' car to drive. Her insurance is around 500 quid with three years no claims and the car itself is a group 4.

cutting compound could work, but would have to be careful as it can lead to surface scratches. probably best letting a bodyshop have a go first tho lol

i think colour sounds like a great idea, maybe get all shades of colours together too,each section grouped into mk 1's 2's etc.

i think the wheels hes referring to are 15's as they're mine :) therefore you have to bear in mind the cup/172 wheels are 16"

seen em about on ebay, dunno what they look like in the car to be honest, i'd imagine they'd be bordering on the chav lol
