Re: Panting The Rocker Cover....
use paint stripper once its off. then degrease it properly and he should be fine. can get heat resistant paint in a range of colour now as well.
no idea whats involved in taking it off lol
none really. only airbags or hydraulics which are both terrible for driving on.
i'll post a couple of pics of my car tomorrow down 80mm on silver willy wheels.:)
renault cover should cover towing for a year with no doubts. Because its such an unusual problem on a new car i assume they'd tow it free of charge in any instance.
black rims with carbon would look better, but white rims with a blue car would also be a better combo. I think white wheels carbon bonnet would look good, and different :)
there isnt one at the mo i dont think, but theres so many people that have done it it shouldnt be hard to get someone to help! I've just fitted doorcards and rear bench (proper arse) best advice is try it yourself if you get stuck pm me and i'll try my best to help.
you'll be fine using a 1.2 16v backbox tbh.
otherwise pop down your local powerflow centre and get a price on a custom made one. shouldnt be too much as a cat back is 250ish
i called chipsaway earlier and was shocked at how much they wanted.
i've used them before for stone chips and they did an excellent job, but they wanted 45quid to build up and spray a damaged lip. then they wanted 30quid a wheel to repair some minor curb marks.
quite expensive when you...
thank god. i thought he was going to tell me of some major problem then lol
yeah its to spray on the threads. still havent done mine, i just use the power washer on them
was thinking: if i disconnected the battery and left it, would the light come back on when it restarted? i.e. does it get stored in the memory somewhere lol
dont think you can chrome plate plastic. however i do think they can use a form of paint which gives the effect. similar to the plasti-kote chrome stuff you can buy.
it is possible. r30bc had one on his car and it looked better than the standard clio one. no idea which laguna his was off, but im assuming the R reg model as it looked the same lol
ben_P will have a go and see what happens. have arranged to have a local garage remove the light, and will then take it to my exhaust centre to remove the sensor.
is bolt the best way to do it?
-exhaust dropped off
-kept going in limp mode (summit do with throttle potentiometer)
-bloody great range rover ploughed in the back of me (not a renault problem but one that greatly annoys me)
-alloy wheel was bent
-found out the car had a crash before i owned it which needed bout 3 grands...
b****cks. not sure what to do now. renault want 48+vat to turn the light off. annoys the crap out of me by being on, but dont want to turn the light off and then find it comes back on again 2 months down the line.
mark
my g/fs got a 1.4 16v SXi, with around 95 bhp. Should do 0-60 in around 10 secs so not a bad little engine. Also she has no rattles and they are a much 'smoother' car to drive. Her insurance is around 500 quid with three years no claims and the car itself is a group 4.
mine came on this afternoon during a massive drive. have got a 200cpsi sports cat installed (on a 1.2)
have just been researching this and im getting more and more confused. am i right in thinking that the second sensor for the lambda has to have the wiring removed? and then i just have to...
cutting compound could work, but would have to be careful as it can lead to surface scratches. probably best letting a bodyshop have a go first tho lol
not got any really good pics. you can barely tell its there (with it being on a black car)
have PM'd you washer jet info. if you need anymore information or some pics just drop us a PM and ill see what i can do :)
