Mines doing this at the moment as well, I'm hoping it's just the brake pedal sensor causing the ABS to keep kicking in, and then flashing the light up. In regards to the hand brake light and stop light, you need to fill the brake fluid up, I can guarantee the level is below the minimum.

Undo the nuts either side? If there are two nuts next to each other, on the same thread, you'll need two spanners to twist them apart in opposite directions.

Well, I think it may have something to do with a knackered ring, cus earlier I pressed the brake pedal slightly, and the pedal "crunched" as it does when the ABS kicks in, but I was using no where near the force needed to lock the wheels up.
