I'm not insured on it yet, waiting a month till I turn twenty;) tbh what I've learnt from this is, having any no claims bonus, is like gold. If you've got no ncb like me, forget being insured on anything bigger than a 1.6 Yeah, this car has been interesting, dedication does not come close...

    The Inferno Project Thread

Well, I guess my car has reached project status, so as pointed out by addz, it needs its own thread. Basically my cars life started out in the hands of some chav, who'd put a charming body kit on the car, and proceeded to drive into something a lot harder than a clio. So I purchased the car...

    Dodgy HPI check.. please help

If things like the starter motor have gone, and you've not even viewed it yet, I'd walk away, make sure you ask him how it's a Cat D though, and how it's been repaired. Plenty of better examples of 182s on this forum to be had though.

    Dodgy HPI check.. please help

Cat D can be a number of things, from flood damage, to fire or vandalism £4,500 would sound about right. My cars Cat C, but the annoying thing is that its mechanically in better condition than most 182s, as it's all been rebuilt with new parts.

    Look what I've done!

It's the orange paintwork, people love it, but I'm quite happy with the kit off now, definatly the right choice. The car needs smaller wheels as it is, and with that chin on, putting smaller wheels on would make it impractically low, and it helps with insurance

the glue can be cleaned up, but it will need spraying anyway, as the paint underneath isn't in a good state
