Cally tore her cruciate ligament, and ripped the cartalidge jumping off a chair in a dance show, so shes now in recovery for the next 9 months. Poor girl.
Thanks for the comments, appreciated
Custom sized my dear fellow, 48cm wide, 9cm deep. fits the recess beautifully
38,000 bit gutted about that too, cus I don't think it's had the 36,000 service:(
On another note, just ordering my new rims from rimstock, do i go for white or black pro race 1.2's?
I'm not insured on it yet, waiting a month till I turn twenty;)
tbh what I've learnt from this is, having any no claims bonus, is like gold. If you've got no ncb like me, forget being insured on anything bigger than a 1.6
Yeah, this car has been interesting, dedication does not come close...
Well, I guess my car has reached project status, so as pointed out by addz, it needs its own thread.
Basically my cars life started out in the hands of some chav, who'd put a charming body kit on the car, and proceeded to drive into something a lot harder than a clio. So I purchased the car...
If things like the starter motor have gone, and you've not even viewed it yet, I'd walk away, make sure you ask him how it's a Cat D though, and how it's been repaired. Plenty of better examples of 182s on this forum to be had though.
Cat D can be a number of things, from flood damage, to fire or vandalism £4,500 would sound about right. My cars Cat C, but the annoying thing is that its mechanically in better condition than most 182s, as it's all been rebuilt with new parts.
It's the orange paintwork, people love it, but I'm quite happy with the kit off now, definatly the right choice. The car needs smaller wheels as it is, and with that chin on, putting smaller wheels on would make it impractically low, and it helps with insurance
Think I'm just about ready to have another bash at doing something on the car, would either addz or matty j, or anyone else for that matter, like to come and help remove all this adhesive with me? i can't afford an evenings pay, but i think i can garuntee a decent pizza from a good place in matlock.
the car is a nightmare, but puts a smile on my face. so worth it in the end. funds are the only thing annoying about it really, I'm quite happy to put the work in if i get the car i want at the end of it
wooo help galore... why did no one offer when i was trying to get the splitter off!:rasp:
Could definatly use a hand with removing adhesive, so I'll let you all know soon
Cheers, could use a hand cleaning all the adhesive up, not sure whether to wet sand it or not. Saves the body shop having to remove it. I'll give you a call when i start to atempt it
Finally, I've removed all of the body kit!!! Burnt both thumbs in the process, but it's done, and it looks so much better for it :D
starting to come off...
First time I've seen my cars bumper:approve:
Custom plates supplied by Addz
So pleased, now all i...
