Kinda unclear whats goin on.
Spacers wont affect your camber value, although f your pushing the tyre centreline miles out it can wear the inside, but you dont have that problem.
DO you have adj lower arms, XR2i or XR3 arms?
If your using arms that are too long, like the XR3 the post...
in real terms, depending on starup temps (ambient) thenyou only really have to wait for oil pressure to build and you can drive pretty much normally. 6000rpm is fine with moderately warm oil.
Somebody please explain to me why you lot seem to think that oil doesnt move or protect any surfaces...
Check the negative lead from the alt to teh batt, itll be old and corroded now and they can snap easily. Look down the non pulley side of the alt nxt to the rad and its a black cable thats bolted onto a terminal, if its not connected at all then thats your problem, give it a clean and it COULD...
Polished? eh?
valves are 32mm,
the willy uses a different head casting which is the same as the F7P. ANd is designates the F7R700 in teh williams, F7R710/714 in the megane coupe. The sump is the same as later 16V units IIRC but i dont lol.
you cant get them out by accessing them from the rear. grind a slit in the back of the nut and use a flat headed screwdriver to get it out. unless its seized lol.
its a totally different engine, its the same as the clio 172s engine bar a few casting and other technical diffs.
Its not related to the 150bhp F7R......so no 10bhp is lost.
a recon engine with a warrenty if you can find one is perfectly fine, but if you cant then a s/h engine which you can dismantle and check is just as good.
Entirely up to you, no doubt some people will be urging a 2ltr conversion on you lol.
what, new engine or s/h?
If your going to lob in a new engine then costs will be minimal as you wont have to change anything. Sourcing a 1.8 for 250 isnt hard.
But as with most people im sure youll be tempted by a few tweeks whist you got an engine out.
the TPS or potentiometer is teh red thing attatched to the throttle spindle. It sends info to the ECU regarding throttle posisition via increasing voltage/current. I cant remeber the values for 0 when you reset it but basically all you need is a multimeter to check the output and move it until...
The block is essentially shared between lagunas, meganes, the 2ltr turbos in the up and comming megane sport, scenic turbo and Vel Satis.
The head casting is different to the other normal F4Rs which is a basic engine code and the 3 digit number after the F4R prefix denotes the spec. 172 beign...
Why are you having all the valves changed?
Most general automotive engineering firms wont have a clue what to do.
Ill be more than happy to modify your cylinder head.
VTEC switches later than that.
And most of the EURO compliance is programmed into the part throttle running and test sites.
Mitchy, if you read my post youll see that they DONT run a variable cam design like VTEC, VVTL-i or any other profile changing system. And teh Ren system isnt good...
Those are std spec plugs..perfectly fine and more than good for the job.
Multi electrode just means itll last longer, thats it.
put them in and forget about them.
