^^^^ the class leader in its day - but that day has long gone, unfortunately. You've got issues on a number aspects with this as a gaming platform. 128MB is absolutely rock bottom minimum these days and would struggle with anything modern.
On top of that, the memory of the laptop is small at...
Is that Scoob actually feeding in a bit of opposite lock out of Old Hall Corner?
The Evo is on the front cover of this month's MLR Mag. Had shitloads of work done to it, but I can't remember the figures off the top of my head.
Looks like a good day!

+1. I found the demo that came with the wheel to be pretty good. As Cheeky says - there is a massive community forever modding and adding extras to it.

Chaps - anything missing from the shopping list:- ???
PDP-LX6090 TV
PDP-S64 - Side speakers
PDP-S65 - Undermount speaker
BDP-LX91 - Reference BD-Live Blu-ray disc player
PDA-V100HD - HD AV Converter
PDK-WM03 - Wall mount bracket
Decided on keeping the 'design' flush rather than having...
Lol - I love threads like this. Just shows you the chalk & cheese mentality of PCs vs Mac owners.
Of those listed above, I can see a definite purpose for the screen shot one. Sounds pretty much like the Alt+Print Screen on PCs.
However, what on earth you would use the other two for...
Chaps,
Just had a request from the MD to help pick a plasma screen for his home. Must be 52"+ and have additional surround sound speaker options.
He also wants a blu-ray player to go with it and the usual SkyHD.
If anyone has some recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I pretty much a...
Good shot of the Poison Deewarf there. Lolz @ the cameraman bending his knees for the shot!
Never understood that bloke. Way into his pension-era and with enough money to even give Bill Gates a scare. His mortal days are numbered and before long, he'll be pushing up daisies. If I was him, I'd...
Although very similar to GTR Evo, GTR2 is a cracker - and it can be had for peanuts these days.
Apart from having a detailed damage model, I'm struggling to see how they could make a better GTR3. :)

Cheers guys - thanks for the feedback. :approve:
Initial findings are great. We had a 45GB SQL2000 database that we trialed in upgrading to SQL2005. The results?
Windows 2003 x86, running SQL2005 x86 = 3.5 days
Windows 2008 x64, running SQL2005 x64 = 6 hours!
Tbf, we did beef up the memory...
Just trying out the x64 Eval Edition on a lowly ML150 G5 and tbh, it seems fine so far.
Looks (and feels) like a no-frills Vista imo and am currently using SQL2005 x64 on it.
As we're a Windows 2003 x86 domain, has anyone had any real complications it shifting to either W2008 and/or 64-bit...
Sorry guys - me getting my measurements wrong! It was the 2.5litre bottle, not the 2litre that I mentioned....
Perhaps as Sym0n says - AutoGlym Direct is the only place to get this now? Bugger. :(
Oh, and cheers for the mention of Quinn's - I'll take a look. :)

I agree. I think the reason why in many 'real world' scenarios, there seems to be little between the 1*2 and a V6 is that a 1*2 is easy to drive quickly. A V6 isn't.
As above, get a driver who knows a V6 inside-out (and it's limitations) and it would out-pace 1*2.
Not quite sure that 172 Cup...
It's been done quite a few times - there are Youtube vids/posts of it, etc. As the oil is totally inert, it provides zero risk of electrical discharge. You can even run a fan-cooled PSU while submerged in oil.
I don't think I could be arsed, myself. Degreasing a gfx card when you swap it out...
Just stopped at a few motor-factors in Bury and Heywood and none of them had the larger bottles - only the 1litre ones available. They looked at me a bit confused when I asked if they had the larger bottles available.
Has AutoGlym stopped making them? :S

Same here, but I'm not struggling! I've seen some footie on Sky Sports and switched to Sky Sports HD and the difference is amazing. The clarity of things like the white lines and detail on the adverts and the crowd. Makes a big difference, imo.
The do have a bloody big TV as well, so I'm sure...
Griff's links above should be ok.
I didn't realise that it was as powerful as that - I thought it was going to be an old lappy. :)
I'd personally get this on order, if I were you. Superb RTS.

Sad news. :(
I would have hated to have handed mine back when it had finance on it. As for going for a Ph.1 - why not? Maybe Middo will offer you first dibs! :)

Which model of Qosmio is it, m8? Sometimes the generic manufacturer drivers (nVidia & ATi, for example) don't work and they need the specific to the make of the laptop/PC version.
A lot of the GeForce Go chipsets of old were really bad for this.
