When you say 'connected to the PC' - do you mean via a CAT5 (ethernet) cable or via USB? I know on the old NTL cable modems that running a USB connection to a PC would kill the ethernet connection to the wireless router.
Similarly, running on wireless would stop the USB connection working...
Re: David. Brand. You ready?
Not got it yet, though the lack of base building is a bit risky - dare I say it, even worrying? It's a core aspect of many RTS's and to omit that, the rest of the game really does has to shine.

Chaps,
If we switched the standard Sky box to one of those HD units, does the dish on the roof have to be altered in anyway?
Basically, I think our dish is fecked and if part of the HD installation requires a new dish then we're onto a winner.
A bit of wishful thinking, methinks. ;)

You should have seen the fitment of the alternator on the Punto GT. Nice and snug next to the turbo with the thinnest heat shield between them. It was on its third alternator by the time I sold it. ;)
Are they cheap to replace on the RS Clios?

Re: windows 7 ultimate (bag of sh*t)
Seriously m8. Unscrewing your petrol cap and emptying a bag of Tate & Lyle's finest in there, will do less damage than 'installing' Norton onto any PC.
Even people I don't like - I tell them not to bother with Norton.

I think that's the beauty of it. In a subtle (but obvious) way, it improves your driving in the game - in particular the GTR series. Is it because it feeds the PC with far more sensitive inputs than a standard wheel? Or is it because it feels so well built, you associate the wheel more to...
.....and more importantly, do you think it was worth the price?
I personally think its superb and is being woefully under-used by me at the moment. Too many non-racing games attracting my attention at the moment.

Dear, oh dear. If that's true - WTF are they thinking?
They 'just' got away with four classes within BF2142 purely because of the unlock trees and that you could mix and match a whole host of options.
Personally, I would prefer say 8 or even 10 classes, but with limited kits. Maybe a primary...
ROFL! Ok!
Good point about the unlocks. But it's even more boring if there is one item that's better than the others. You'll end up with 20 of the 24 players using that alone. Ultra boring. :(

I personally prefer the Mk2, but would have recommended the Mk3 if you hadn't mentioned that above!
I had one of the entry level (1.2?) Mk3's when my car was in at Reno. The car was so underpowered, it was dangerous. Playing with trucks and large vans on the motorway is hardly fun in rush-hour...
:nono::nono:
Road To Jalalabad (or whatever it was called) was never an original map within BF1942. Wake Island was. ;)
The lack of unlocks is disturbing. One of the things that made BF2142, imo. You've little to strive for if 25 minutes or 25 days into it, you've still got the same kit...
About time Reno sorted out the filter! Stupid location on the Mk2, I think. Do the Kevs think you could save a fair bit of labour charge with the belts on the Mk3, then? ;)

Doesn't look that much different than a Mk3?
LOL @ the bonnet line. Jesus - any further back and it would qualify as a sun roof. Must be a fecker to work on, surely?
