    Mac OSX Leopard

Well, after the help from Tom and sn00p on my previous thread (thanks again guys :approve: ) (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=301693) - it was a definite sign that the Mac's HD had died. After nabbing a new Seagate Momentus (great name, lol!) HDD for it and buying a retail copy...

    Headlamp washer fecked...... again!

I suppose that is the big worry. I'm just really intolerant of bad design. Things breaking over time - fine, but things where there's a known problem and it can't really be fixed is just total laziness, imo. Made worse by the fact the headlamp washer (not useful) is now draining the main tank...

    Headlamp washer fecked...... again!

I really wish Reno hadn't even bothered with them. Gave it a good wash on Saturday for Sunday's drive out - and when I pulled up at Lymm services - the same headlamp washer was pissing fluid out again. Is it an easy job just to bung the feeder pipes up and be done with them? It really is...

    Another Gaming PC Build Thread

Have you built a PC for yourself before? It's really not hard these days - but if you get stuck, make sure you ask us! Good choice of case too - I love the Antec stuff. :) D.

    Black 182, Leigh - Pic...

Heheh! Looks like its on stilts in comparison! I've noticed that mine looks really tall from some angles. Really liking the exhaust look f0xy. Subtle, but clearly different. :approve: D.

    Choosing graphics card

Definitely. Those 3850 cards with 512MB onboard are really good for the money. I think they are around £110 inc.VAT. One of those alone, trounces my 7900GTX's in SLi combo. D.

SSD drives - the sizes are getting useful now...

http://www.mtron.net/english/PressRoom/PressRoom.asp?sid=PressRoom&xact=view&idx=171 Still cost a fortune mind! But at least they are out there and being actively promoted. Give it a few more years and they should (hopefully) be at sensible prices. D.

Poorly looking '05 RB 182 with stripes, Disley, yesterday

Past it on the way home. Parked up on the road with a fair amount of panel damage on the drivers door. Ouch. :( D.

^^^^ - you have my respect already! :) Good choice of motor. I think the RS Clios have a great mix of daily usage mixed with pace and handling. Enjoy! D.

    the v6 lot

Good pics as ever, there Chris! :) Said to Jain just now, when me and her were on the A6 heading back and I saw a set of xenons in the distance behind me. Glanced back again and couldn't make out the car from the glare of the lights, then before I knew it, you were behind us! Is the acid...

    the v6 lot

Hallo! Aye, it was us - me up front in the sole 182 having to hold back and let the V6 mob catch up - lol! Is that a non-standard bumper on the rear? Looked different when I glanced back... D.

PMSL! I know what you mean. Aside from being bloody heavy, my Antec case 'just' fits into the boot of the 182 when lying down. D.

^^^^ - nice case, m8. We bought a batch of those for our sister company next door and they are still going strong a few years later. Very solid and easy to work on. :approve: D.

    Cliosport 'RIG' Picture Thread

Need to take some crap out of it, like the 3.5" floppy drive! :) I should swap the Akasa 'wind tunnel' fans pointing at the gfx cards to some Antec units. Won't make any difference, but I'll know I've got Antec fans in an Antec case - lol! D.

    Should I get a Mac?

I think of your requirements above, the Mac would be spot on. And if your brother is happy to do the donkey-work and pick one up for you - why the hell not! D.

    Powerbook G4 - dead?

Not having much luck here, fellas. I'm suspecting that sn00p's suggestion of the hard drive being shot is the main culprit. Are they standard items on the Powerbooks or Mac specific? I could really do with finding the original CDs too. Its not our laptop, so I'll have to chase the owner for...

Clio 197 or a Corsa VXR

I think for everyday purposes - the 197 would be the better option. The whizz-BANG approach of that small 1.6 tubby of the VXR might not be for you. If the decision was mine - I'd go for the Corsa. Simply because I think it looks better and you've always got that Hooligan Pedal under your...

    Powerbook G4 - dead?

If a Powerbook that's been sat on a shelf for months, decides to simply display an Apple logo in the middle of the screen - does that mean its funcked? It does the start-up 'DONG' noise and then a few seconds later, just puts up the Apple logo. No spinning progress icon or anything. Are there...

Next gen consoles - return to cartridges?

^^^^ - good point, Henry. And there would be no way that releasing the latest films on cartridges would be cost effective. Then again, the price and capacity of camera memory cards are cheap these days. Imagine getting high quality DVD releases on something the size of a micro-SD card! D.

Next gen consoles - return to cartridges?

Just a discussion header, really. Do you think consoles would ever go full circle and revert back to the cartridge days of old? Removing the cost of cartridge manufacturing out of the equation, I think there would be several benefits.... Fewer moving parts - possible decrease in size of the...

    Anyone still on 56k?

Lol! I remember paying Netcom UK £29.99 per month unlimited access on dial-up on my 28k modem. I then had the BT call charge on top of that. I wanted to push for a 36k modem, but they were circa £110 at the time. How things change! D.

    Sky digibox help, pweeese!

Thanks for the offer Dan. :) I think it must be the LNB that's causing the issue. I've unplugged the DECT phone as Griff mentioned and did the reset procedure that Rich told me - but it still causes the same problem. Unfortunately, the dish in on the chimney - on next door's roof! Sounds like...

Capacities of solid state disks going through the roof and in turn, prices coming down. Superb PDA abilities on a watch-like device. Most people having the ability to glow in the dark having been surround by wireless kit for decades. ;) D.
