....around 12.30 this afternoon. Spotted the rapid tomato on the other side of the motorway. :) It was heading eastbound. D.

Linux - somebody, somewhere is having a joke!

Did they purposely go out of their way to make Linux as weird and as unfriendly to use as possible? Did they have a global meeting and discuss "1,052 ways to infuriate someone who is used to the Windows environment"? I can't believe the most basic operations and uses either just draw a...

    Rare evo 6

Not really - for an 8 year old car. The mileage maybe recorded in kms as well? Though that's unlikely if its a true UK-spec car. D.

    Rare evo 6

I don't think it's the bodykit as such that's the 'issue' - rather the colour of it... Still looks amazing though - and the people in 'the know', would actually 'know' what it is was - lol! D.

    Rare evo 6

"What's that Mr. Wallet? You want jump into that fiery burning hell of debt and suicidal expense on a certain motor vehicle?" "Naughty wallet. Get back in the drawer...." ;) Porntastic. D.

Overclocked, but is it running too hot??

I wouldn't worry about those temps if its under load. And lets face it, your Intel CPU would handle heat build-up much better than my AMD! :) D.

    Sky digibox help, pweeese!

Well, I had some success - sort of. The phone socket is very near to the TV, and the wires were bit a of a mess tbh. Sorted them out and low-and-behold, the channels were alright. Stayed the same all night last night. Tried it again this morning (sure fire winner to feck up - Discovery on 520)...

Quality! :approve: Cheers Rich! I'll add that to the list of tests! D.

    Sky digibox help, pweeese!

Griff - good point, m8. We do have a DECT phone in the house - I'll try unplugging it from the master socket and leaving Sky connected - see if that makes any difference. Certainly worth a shot! Jon, I did think that as well. We have had some strong winds in the past few weeks, so I thought...

    Sky digibox help, pweeese!

Sky Two doesn't work, but Sky One does. Loads from Discovery, like 520, 521, 522, etc don't work either. We also get weird situations when the standard channel works, but the +1 channel of the same name, doesn't? D.

    Sky digibox help, pweeese!

I know how to switch on my digibox...... pick a channel and that's about it. What I want to know is whether or not a standard digibox (not Sky+ or HD or anything) is the same - regardless of who the manufacturer is? Our Thomson unit is going ape and regularly says "No satellite signal is being...

    4GB 800MHZ or 2GB 1066MHZ RAM?!

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/editions/systemrequirements.mspx ...... clearly, Microsoft is talking out of its own ring-piece. Ultimate? Only recommending 1GB? Is that before or after the HDD's had gone into meltdown with the pagefile? They are busy enough as it is...

    4GB 800MHZ or 2GB 1066MHZ RAM?!

I can believe that. When I used to run Vista 64 Ultimate, it used 1,125MB when just sat at the desktop.... D.

    PSU Advice

    I'll have to see what scores I got on 3DMark06. Haven't run that in a while. I don't think I broke 5 figures, though! :) D.

Motherboard Recommendation - for the system builders!

And there was me, worrying that the 'ol Munson had gone soft in recent months. Good to see that he still can get riled, every now and then! LOL! ;) D.

    PSU Advice

Aye - I've been hearing a lot about those GTS's being fast little feckers. Heard some really glowing reports about the ATi 3870 cards too. Good to see that ATi & nVidia are still battling away - it can only help us, the end user, ultimately...:) D.

    PSU Advice

Good specs there Roy - liking the mobo choice! Make sure you post up some benchies just in stock trim - before you OC it. Would be interesting to see what that kit pumps out in standard trim. D.

    Silver 182 - M62, junction 23 (?)

Went off the slip-road about a hundred yards in front of us - as we carried on the M62. Think it was a '55 plate, iirc. About 12.30 this afternoon. D.

Motherboard Recommendation - for the system builders!

Heh! I know what you mean. I've got two 7900GTX's on my M2N32-SLi and an X-Fi Fata1ity. Space is on that mobo is at an absolute premium! ;) D.

Motherboard Recommendation - for the system builders!

Don't cut corners on the mobo, Dave. One of the core things I will happily pump money into with every system build. The amount of times when I've been impressed with a motherboard maybe 12+ months down the line, because it supports I feature that I initially didn't need! Add a bit more wedge...
