Can you screw the actual pin in a bit further? Or is it due to not having a rubber stop over the pins so the bumper isn't resting on anything?

I'd never heard of any problems, apart forgot the standard bolts not liking being over tightened. I imagine if you get a well made set they'll be fine just a few that get through that aren't perfect :(

If I remember rightly, I had this problem before. See if your interior light fuse is blown too. It might of been a Clio or not, but it definitely happened to me before!

Oh really? That was the same as the one I replaced with, ph2 post cat into a ph1 pre cat so should be fine? I was barely getting 21mpg now barely getting 16!
