In all truth,
i would run the car in for 1K on mineral oil, then swap to fully synth till 6 K and swap again......just to check.
Mineral really helps the bedding in, synth basically stops all wear even when its tight.
more low down torue, he can close up the valve timing for less valve overlap.
He could work on the head port bowl areas and use different valve seat angles to get better low rpm flow.
when warm (80 deg C) at 1000rpm minimum of 1.2 bar.
@ 3000rpm minimum of 3.5 bar
This is a temperate climate so a 15W50 or anything with a final 50 weight should be run really.
you cant run an intercooler, as griff stated, its really only applicable to turbos.
Basically inlet charge heat on turbos gets silly, so an air-air intercooler works fine, it doesnt get down to ambient temps but lowers charge temps significantly from well over 150 deg C.
For a NA car, all...
how do you know its running rich?
Get is checked first and find out where its running rich.
You could try lower the baseline fuel pressure, you might have that too higha nd its a simple twist and go check, but use some tipex etc to ref the current position.
