i took so long as i have been away for a week wehere i only have a 56K connection which i cant be botered using, but im back on BB now.
Theory.......its all about head flow, and of course it wont flow the same, the simple design of the poppet valve means that they are opening and closeing and...
i made the ref to a smaller side wall as there is less flex, thus you dont need such high presures to keep a tyre stiff.
Lower tyres simply increase the tyres ability to deform the contact patch, drag races use low pressures as it increases the contact patch. and 1/2 the gearing of a drag...
PBV is an adj fuel pressure reg with a twist, it has a rising rate and the diaphram is a tade laerger and more responsve to manifold vacuum.......so baseline changes are stronger.
Dont bother with Ram-air, you wont be able to prove it works on your car, or a 172. You need 200+mph to get anywhere near a single PSI, and making a perfect inlet tract with no sunbstantial pressure zones, plus or minus is hard.
Concentrate on keeping inlet temps as low as...
oh, just to add, off the shelf suspension is rebound adj only, which is where the lack of roll feeling comes into play...it compresses and stays compressed.
Ideally, you want at least and 1" 1/2" or travel.
Damping and springs rates are one thing, geometry is what makes a car...
WOW!!!
go away for a few days and you mis a hell of a lot!
All i can say is the only man to get the full grasp is Anders, not saying anybody has a it wrong (well some do, but nevermind) but there is a whole lot to understand.
FACT: Production cars are a compramise, plain and simple. Rapid...
using a resistor will only lower the voltage reading it send to the ECU, so it thinks its running far cleaner than it is. So startup will be odd and part throttle runing could possibly be lean. Id not bother, gains are minimal....
i just bought one yesterday, i was goin to get a ITR, but i saw this and fell in love. It really does handle extreemly well, and looks like pure sex!
Saved a few K and am putting it into my MK1 XR2.......
i was pleasanly surprised.......
nope, never tried that! lol
But i did like the whole comfort thing......but its hard to drive lying in the bed witha broom stick and string/pulley arrangement on teh steerin wheel.
What do you generally haul....and how far?
I would drive me bonkers sittin on a long rd at 56mph!
Brun is right.......using a 5w is fine in cold weather anda 15W in warmer weather, you ideally choose your oil depending on teh temp range you run in.
The 16V has hydraulic tappets which need oil presure to work, and for them to prime fully with cold thick oil talkes longer. thats all...
they are comfy though.....i had to whirl them around the storage lot....and i loved them. but it too me a while to get used to the 12-18 gear setup!
1st is like 4mph!!!lol
its also quite odd driving past a line of 15 or so arctics slipstreaming eachother by about 10ft......like a long...
probably!!!!
It was scary as i didnt know how fast to go......wide open rds and 80mph seems like 40mph!
60 in an arctic must be madness! but i guess the newer ones have good in car entertainment.....how much do they charge now?;)
When we sold Volvo trucks, the globetrotters used to come...
no but phase 1 16V dont have lumbar support adj so i do havea hump and a crook neck, not to mention a face like a weasel from all teh squinting and cringing.
Ever benn on the M25 when you can go along at 80 hapilly with no 1 car on the rd!!!!! eerie!
it took 8 cans of Redbull!!!!
Thats stuff is endurance in a can!!
1 can would last an hr or so, so just pull over at a service station, fag, conObull and a little jig and i was happy as a happy awake thing.
Oh, i didnt get home till 5 this morn!
yeah....just pop onto a RR its cheap and easy....
take the ATW figures only, forget flywheel for the mo.....well compare that later.
Oh, and dont listen to Butre, he is a criminal, theif and all round dodgy person......steals from old people and babies!!!
Plus...hes portugese!:o
I...
BIgger valves do NOT move the power band, thats more to do with cam profile as your choosing where to make peak power and you cant have lots of peak power and lots of 1000rpm tractability, VVT systems are still trying to get this perfect.
And a head that flows more will ALWAYS make more...
LOL....yes RE-720s are fab, and thanks for the inroduction! lol
They do wear very fast.....try 1800 miles!!!!!
i was bald after that!
But very very good......how do you rate them?
I find tyres are the best....but thats just my opinion.
The RS uses an ATB which is a highly complecated diff which varies the amount of torque applied to each wheel, its no constant. It judges grip levels if you will.
However, unlike an LSD, if you lift a wheel off the ground, it doent work.
i run 30 as the rd are very bumpy.
but it depends, i can feel fine on 28psi, the tyre wall is small anyway. But some people dont feel safe until 35psi.
Test and see, the airs free!
