Sorted the brake problem in the end :) but wont have time to wax / polish etc before Saturday.
Would be good to go and finally introduce myself to some of the members on here who im constantly badgering!

Yeah - Fred fitted me with some to keep me going until I get them done with new pads etc.
I will be getting this done with you - Ill PM you for price etc.
Well it requires work done in as much as Fred @BTM fitted pads and discs at the back which were 40% worn (just to get me on my way as the rear bearings had failed) and advised that I start looking at getting new pads and discs fitted at the front. Which I have done and work is being carried out...
Ordered some new ones mate.... need to talk to you about fitting them as well!!!
WOuld that explain the sudden loss of brake pedal pressure... but then it returned?

So last night on the drive back from Birmingham to Bristol the car developed a grinding noise under braking. Pads are due to be changed anyway, so I put it down to that.
Upon returning home, whacked the car into reverse and it felt like something was grinding along the floor. Checked on it...
