You may have noticed when you put your foot down that you had nowhere near 172 or 182 horsepower (or thereabouts)
TBH I see where he is coming from. Brakes are not something to muddle around with.
I think I took the appropriate course of action - took it to a garage then stored it at my rents house. Only driving it on a private road.

I took the car out on my own private road today just to see if incoupd diagnose the fault myself before getting the pads and discs changed. A piece.of gravel stuck in there or something.

visual inspection yes. It was presumed it was rear brakes at the time for some reason.

So, for some reason, decided to drive the clio up and down the drive (about a mile long) to try to see what the problem is. The grinding noise has got worse after none use with the car violently vibrating when i brought it to a full stop. Brakes also squeek now.

Washing I think is washing up liquid jog. There is a chap offering the serice on here. Have a look at that thread - has videos of a guy jetwashing plastidip at very close range. No peeling whatsoever.
