You've got to hand it to Apple. The way they remain a thorn in the side of Microsoft and continue to grow is a testiment to their planning and product range.
I'd never own a Mac due to the lack of decent game support (which is 90%+ what I use my home PC for.) However, I can definitely see...
Guys,
Any rough idea what the G5's are going for at the moment? We're looking at a replacement for the elderly G4 here and it will be a 9 to 5 Adobe b**ch - Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
Ideally dual CPU and a beefy amount of HDD space and onboard memory.
Cheers,
D.
Griff, don't you find it mad how 'unimpressed' we generally are with today's games? Imagine telling someone 20 years ago (who had just spent a fiver in 10p's on Outrun) what the state of the home games market would be like in 2006?
Lee probably has a better insight than most of us, but the...
Well Sega certainly couldn't have made a simulation with a brand name like that. It makes the likes of Gran Turismo and Ridge Racer look like the most difficult driving games on the planet.
It's definite Sega. By that, the old-time gamers (like me) who were around for the original arcade...
Exactly what I was thinking. Has there been some under-handed developments recently that most of us don't know about?
Very worrying. :dapprove:
Hope the insurance doesn't batter you on the upcoming 172, m8?

I found it tended to whistle a little more under hard acceleration. Not by much, but enough for me to notice it.
Be prepared to get your hands covered in s**t, fitting it though. It's caked in a grease-type solution and gets everywhere if you're not careful! ;)

I'm going to get flamed to death here.....:D
But looking at those pics above (and assuming I knew NOTHING of the RS range/history) I would assume that that car was something like a Clio 1.4. It just looks so bland.
The only 'sporty bits' on that stand out are the vents behind the front wheels...
LOL - never a truer word said! Check out my first turd attempt when I did exactly that.....:o

Looks good. I've never played rFactor yet, but with the increase in community support, it certainly grabs my attention.
I'm glad to hear that the developers have focused on physics as the main element of the game. The last thing we need on a PC is another highly-polished, tarted-up game that...
Has anyone got experience of an nVidia 570 (or 590) SLi motherboard? Are there any pros & cons over the usual nVidia nForce 4 SLi setup? I'm thinking purely from a gaming point of view and without overclocking, really.
Cheers,
D.
The colour of your car looks fantastic. :D Reminds me of that V6 colour - Moonshine Blue or something? Does it actually go darker the further towards the rear of the car you look, or is that a trick of the light?
I'd be happy with that. Modified, unique and not in your face. It's also instantly...
Wish we'd known that before! I was a co-pilot in the Vee the other Friday night. Had a blast up the M66, off through Rawtenstall, then Bacup and Todmorden. Came through Mytholmroyd and ended up stopping at a chippy alongside Hollingworth Lake on the way back.
Maybe I can get Jain to retrace her...
Yep, WEP's a piece of urine to crack. Unfortunately, some of the older wireless kit only supports WEP - even if it is in 128-bit. WPA-PSK is easy to use and pretty good.

The difference being is that an amoeba knows not to leave the keys in his/her car. For those who don't give a flying monkey's about PCs, setting up wireless is far from easy.
Those 3-page Easy Start start guides that come with the wireless kits, make me piss. It's only when you print off the...
