Loads of people still mention FF7. My m8 raved on about how good it was when he had his PS1. I bought it and just got bored with it. Maybe I quit too soon before the game became enjoyable! ;)

What games have you seen all the way through to the end and genuinely thought "that was great!" ?
Beach Head (circa 1984!!!) was one of mine as was beating the other civilisations to the space race in Civ 2. I was also glad to see the end of HL2, even though I thought the ending was a bit...
The GLA are gits. Them rocket-buggies are a right pain in the ricker from long range. :D
I'd say C&C3 and also GTR2 are probably the ones I'm looking forward to the most. I'm also on the lookout for a really good RPG game in either a swords & shields setting or something more futuristic.

^^^ - ok, ok, you were almost right. You actually fall through the ceiling! :rasp:
Just got to the bit where I'm about to blow the EMP bomb under the nexus hub. Quite a good game really. There could be more variation with the enemies and the scenery and the vehicle bits are a bit weak, but...
Yep - that's the one, m8! I spotted those boxes to the right, but did nothing with them. I'm out all day tomorrow, but I'll defo give that a try on Monday!
Cheers for the responses guys - it's like having our own CS Gaming FAQ! ;)

The thermal paste question is one that few people will agree on! These days, the full retail products from AMD are fine to just fit together and they work. With Intel's like you've picked, I not sure myself.
Underneath the heatsink itself, you should see a square blob of what looks like...
Can you guys point out where I need to go? I've just completed the bit where you team-up with the guy who blows up the Strogg air-base and now I'm onto the anti-aircraft cannon bit. Apparently, I'm supposed to find a way to unlock the door near the base of the turret, but I don't know where to...
Sounds fine if you're not intending to play games. The P5VD2-MX mobo does use an onboard graphics setup, that uses 64MB of shared memory. Thus, it will be taken immediately from the 512MB you start off with - assuming you tell BIOS to use the full 64MB.
As Roy pointed out, there's no AGP slot...
Spotted it parked in the main carpark at the HOOGE O2 building as we drove past. Was on our way down to Soughton Hall for a wedding reception and the weather actually turned good for once! :D

LOL - what a bell-end I am! :D
I was 99.9% sure it was turbo'd, just like the older RX7. It even felt like it was turbo'd. Now that I know that, I'm actually more impressed by it!
Cheers for the correction guys...

Yes - that's the way forward. You too could end up talking geek crap like myself, Lee, Roy and wozzaa.
Rasclart has yet to prove he is eligible for Entry to Geekdom... :p

I've driven the 230 model. Quite surreal with an rpm band that seems to go on for enternity. Extremely smooth power delivery - hardly any whiff of turbo lag at all. However, I suspect for any RX8 driver to have a decent chance against a 172 or 182, they would have to know the car intimately and...
Yep, still the best RTS game on the PC, imo. Set a standard that has yet to be bettered. Have you seen the latest vids and screenshots of C&C3?

Can you easily obtain an Athlon64 754 any more? I only thought the mainstream availability on 754 socket CPUs these days were on the Semprons anyway?

^^^^ - now that's class! Me and my m8 at uni spent ages on that thing until we finished it. Totally original and funny throughout. Back when LucasArts actually made decent games.
The Sims 2 is evil :clown:. I was a new-comer to the Sims series until I *ahem* acquired Sims 2 the other month. I...
