lol....how can you break the cast...they are huge solid things! and your gonna have more than one.
I think its just an excuse that their production capacity is low.
agree, sell and buy.....i had a an RT and never drove it cause i was apalled by it. Got a valver and its a diff machine, if you could ever make a full blown RT anything like a std valver then my commendations!
LOL, trust butre to come in here and say that! hahaha
it probably handles rather well being a wrc car...lol
Rob, i too prefer the fezzy rally car, looks just like the old MK1 Grp 2 race cars back in the day. .....ill have to get a pic to you of one....sexy as hell.
nope....you cant cahnge a powerband that mich without changing cam profile, electronics can do alot, but not alter the peak potential of an engine.
The point of a higher rev limit comes in handy when you need ot hold a gear longer. IN terms of acceleration yes, you will proably be better off...
hes takin the piss.....
TWIN 45 DOwn draughts!! im assuming your talcing DCNFs then?
Go on, we need a pic before anybody takes you seriously, of the engine, we dont care what the shed looks like.....
lol, well, space and weight is a problem
A trolley jack is only about 20 quid but get some wood to place inbetween teh rails to you dont bend anything.
He has the now normal (lol) viper/HP/BMC induction, chip and exhaust.
i only got 182...poo...lol, but i do run in a much hotter country ;), ah excuses excuses
hmm, they were well inboard werent they!
in terms of geometry, its your scrub radius that your mostly affecting, which in laymands terms is the "feel" you get over undulations on the road. Or sensing the different torque from each wheel.
Spacers, id not bother......really, unless it a few mm...
And no benefit for that cost!
you never just jump to cams if you can make power wihtout changing them, any change in prifile makes more power, but your jsut moving it up the rpm scale.
Why do this when the std cams are fine for 200+bhp?
draper is ok, nowt wrong with them, but they do break lol......
draper torque wrneches, if you have the one i think you do have funny increments, id read the insructions as each increment is like 8.6ft/lbs i think.
cant you go your own gasket changes by now!
I can do my race XR2 in 15 mins flat from runing-off-on-runing.......admittedly i do get hurt in teh process! lol
save yourself some money, and it should be very easy, its apushrod engie after all, no cam to mess about with!
Any pics of it then?
The engien wont blow itself apart at 8K, its far srtonger thanthat, all you will notice is a few more vibes associated with a near extra 1000rpm.
People worry alot about things that wont really ever happen. youll never really go up to 8 k either. there is no real point
yup, the std cams are wild already and you wont gaint any peak BHP but you will loose drivability at lower RPM.
Kent dont do any for the 172, and i have not checked Schrick but teh std cams are hollow and chillcast so not everybody can make them. I think only a few French companies actually...
If you only wanted a tool kit with most stuff, halfords do halford kits which are around 40-60 quid for jsut abot everything you need for most jobs.
They quality is fine and i have not broken onve halfords tool yet, teng and snapon are great tools, but cost the earth to buy.
A torque...
heater matrix would result in wet carpets at least.
Since your engine was running a leak could occur yet there would be no decrease in coolant leval as the water just expands. You have to check it when its ice cold.
id flush the cooling system anyway, just take off the hoses from the rad...
no, you generally dont want too small a bore as you wont gain anything from ram air pressurused systems or anything like that, all you should be aiming to do is get as much COLDER air in as possible.
My ductiong was about 1.5m long, and it was fine.
