Kenny - for driving sims, GTR and GT Legends are the way to go - top quality stuff. For a mindless drive and smash game - Flatout is a good one. I think it's been re-released on a budget label now?
As for RPGs - Morrowind and Dungeon Siege 2 are very good. Baldur's Gate 2 is an epic, though it...
We've got a knackered external DVD-RAM drive on a G4 here. Normally, we'd just get a new firewired DL DVD drive as a replacement, but they've got plenty of DVD-RAM discs with information on them.
Has anyone got any suggestions of a make & model of external DVD-RAM drive that still might be for...
Past it this morning on the way into work. About 10ft or so from the side of the road, down in a ditch.
Quite a dodgy bend that, but the car didn't look too badly damaged. Hopefully no one was injured?

Spotted a blue V6 coming up towards Grane Road from the Helmshore end. Looks like it had some writing on the rear bumper from what I saw in the mirror.
Few minutes later, spotted a 182 Trophy on the opposite side of the M66, heading north, just past Bury. Would have been around 1.30pm this...
This is out now guys. I downloaded it at a cost of £5.99 (its about 325MB in size). Haven't tried it yet, but from the people who seem to have got it working ok (!?) - it generally gets the thumbs up.
Some of the unlocks look cool....
Marty - it does show your version number in the lower...
For a long time, CRTs whooped the ass of TFTs. I've still got a 19" Iiyama CRT at home, but use a 17" TFT at work. Things have moved on considerably now and TFTs aren't just a cosmetic I-Want-I-Want Toy - they are a genuine and often superior alternative.
As much as I like my CRT, my next...
The original UT was quality and has replaced our Friday afternoon choice of Quake 3 for a mad hour blast.
Best maps were Face, Morpheus and Phobos...

31 - dead. I check it once every fortnight - being the sad b*****d that I am.
They definitely need looking at after a Reno Service. Them monkeys left all four tyres on different pressures... :S

It will do to go online Andy. It's worth it though because you create an online account that tracks all of your stats and everything. I wouldn't bother with the Special Forces add-on though - not much of an improvement, to be honest.
Apparently the top player at the moment is from the UK. I...
I tend to use a program called XnView - cracking piece of software. I tend to use it mainly for making images smaller (like ben) so I'm not sure it will do what you want it to.
It's free though - so definitely worth a look!

SoF2 was one of my all-time faves when it came out. I played the online demo to death. At the time, I thought the mp_shop map was one of the best maps ever made....
Haven't played it for ages - I may even reinstall it at some point. Some great CTF games on there!

Good point m8 - I'd forgotten about that. If you haven't got VoIP though, I much prefer joining servers without it. Seems far more balanced - and fair! ;)
Just started using that unlocked medic weapon (G36E?) - superb, very accurate. That unlocked support weapon is quite good too.

LOL Mitch - we're actually entitled to 8MB broadband, but the phone lines in and around here were fitted circa 1897 - so until BT do something, we're kinda stuck! :) Our next-door neighbour can't even get broadband at all - so we really must be at the fringes of distance from the exchange.
Bit...
Definitely heat could be an issue - or the PSU isn't kicking out enough juice to the rest of the components.
Does she have shitloads installed? Like Office, Limewire, MSN, IE, etc? Or does it still randomly shutdown when there's just the O/S installed?
Is the clockspeed for both the CPU and...
What's people's view on it? Do people use it?
I don't - as I'm only on 512k broadband, but from what I've seen, you suffer a massive disadvantage from a well organised group using it. It literally is like a switch - VoIP servers are much harder, those without are much easier.
I had a game...
BF2 for me - had about 2 hours on it yesterday. Like Jonesy, I used to play SOF2 online a fair bit too.
Had some cracking games yesterday - got totally owned on a few and wiped the floor with the opposition on others. That's what I like about BF2 and similar ganes - each time you're online...
Ah, you're using O2003, not Outlook Express then? It all depends when your system admin has set the default location of your .pst backup files to be located. Most have a copy set to the C: drive, with a default filename of outlook.pst.
However, if you're not the first person to logon to your...
It all comes down to time and money m8 - like everything else, LOL!
Given the choice - I'd pick wired every single time. It works, it's been tried and tried again and isn't subject to interferance from daft things like wireless can be.
We had a wired setup in our previous house - worked a...
Are your Store Folder locations still set to F: drive? Does F: drive still exist/connected to?
If you've reformatted/reinstalled Windows, you will have to tell OE that the storage location is no longer the default anymore. I think it's Tools --> Advanced --> Store Folder which is the path. I...
