MSN - lol - the Gateway for All and Sundry to screw up your PC. Who needs viruses when we have good 'ol Microsoft products?
WHat happens when say 'No' to the activation? Does it just shutdown?

Yes m8 - originally from Ashton-under-Lyne, but we've moved to just outside Bury now.
Garf - it did look nice. Caked-up to s**t again now though! ;)

Looks like you've only got the "Without Vaseline" option with the insurance companies now. That's going to be expensive next year..... :(
Bad luck there...

You said it m8! Reminded me of the time when I was about 8 and tried to wax the bonnet of my dad's Fiesta. Lets just say, it didn't go according to plan! :o

Was going to Ben, but the light was starting to fade. I've got both AG Extra Gloss Protection and AG Ultra Deep Shine under the sink - the latter I suspect would be well suited to a black car like mine.
At least we're heading to the warmer (and lighter) time of year now. Once I've done the car...
HEHEHEHEHE! Sorted! :D
Gave the bonnet another wash with AutoGlym bodywork shampoo, then rinsed and dried off. Wet small areas liberally with the Megs Quik Finisher and gently used the clay on the right-hand side of the bonnet. Repeated this spray and clay method until the...
Bloody hell m8 - give the car a miss for a few years! I'm 31 now and still paying circa £760 per year on my 182. Has will probably correct me, but I found that passing the 21 and 25 year-old barrier meant jack-all difference in terms of my premium. It went down, but only by £30 or so - not worth...
Make sure you have .Net Framework 1.1 installed as well. The Catalyst drivers won't work off .Net Framework 2.0 alone - they need the older version too.
D.
Christ Almighty!
I'd rip their bloody arm off for £470. You must live in a decent area - I can't get anywhere near that premium and I'm 31 with over 10 years no claims.... :dapprove:

Well, tonight's the night. Short of it absolutely bouncing down with rain, I'll give the bonnet another go. Don't you fancy a pointless trip up to north Manchester then? ;)

Something else I should add. The white steaks seen in the last pic....
Isn't any clay residue. That's where the sunlight has caught the surface 'layer' of post claying. Imagine the worst swirl marks possible and that's the similar result. I bet using a mixture of Brillo pads and wet grit...
Not yet Rich. Had a run out to Skipton yesterday - cracking day and I couldn't see the s**t on the bonnet from the driver's seat so it didn't bother me much. ;)
Got up this morning to do it, but the car's caked in dust and s**t again and I just couldn't be arsed doing the full wash again. If...
Lee - do you rate the DFI mobos overall then? I take it that that is a Crossfire spec mobo?
Ben - I've thought of that too. Some of the Opterons can easily be clocked up to FX spec for a fraction of the price. Decisions, decisions...

Right guys, I could do with some input with regards to updating my PC around September time.
I'd say 90% of it's usage will be for playing games and I'm only thinking of replacing the internals - not the monitor or anything. I'll be looking at a new mobo, new CPU, new memory and obviously a...
Epson's are good, HP's quite good too. Whichever make you get, just forget buying the 'official' cartridges if you're going to be doing a fair bit of photo printing. You'll end up spending the National Debt of China! ;)

It looks ok at the moment Rich - apart from when the sun is directly on it. Makes it look like the Swirls from Hell then. I'll try it tomorrow with the finisher spray first and if that makes no difference, I'll rewax it and see what that does. I'm just sticking to the right-side of the bonnet...
You got me thinking there Al - the other 182 we've got has immaculate paintwork compared to mine. I think mine's had some form of shite on it since day one. :dapprove:

Well done to GuyS for today's 'Pointing Out The Bleeding Obvious' award. And yes, I did read the single sheet of paper that comes in the box.
I'd heard that the spray that comes with it is not as good as just a standard 'rewash' and pretty much a waste of time. I did keep the bonnet wet at all...
Washed the car as normal. Then broke open my new pack of Megs clay - tore a third off it and made it soft under the hot water tap. I took out a clean bucket of very diluted AutoGlym bodywork shampoo and tepid water (along with a jug of hot water to dip the clay in every now and then) and...
At times, the actual speed achieved is irrelevant. It's what the dials on your dashboard show which is impressive. I once saw an in-car vid of a heavily modded Punto GT and the way that climbed through the rev range and turbo pressure gauge going off the scale ( ) was SO different to mine...
I had the window down and waved to the thank the car behind for letting me out and then I spotted you at the lights. So, I waved again. I probably looked a right tool..... ;)
