Yes its a problem its broken, but not a problem with the running of it
None AFAIK, they all done it at virtually the same time, Ben's had broke whilst mine was being fitted, but I ended up having Pauls which had been on a fair while and had been ok, Paul I think now runs a revised version.
Which bolt would you replace? There is less load on the aux belt now as no PAS pump. Adjustment is now an alternator bracket. Could aux belt be too tight?
My old engine done the same tim and was done by a respected specialist! It's currently being looked at and will have a verdict tomorrow what caused it. Tensioner being lose is looking best bet at the moment!
The rstuning price is bang on and Paul doesn't make a lot from it once you realise the labour gone into it. The bracket will be your hardest bet as the company that make for Paul, are very hard to get hold off, he had to give me his bracket due to this. Cheapest I found full charger kit with oil...
Still deciding what would be best, early morning road trips can be fun! But so can a night out with the northern lot! I'm just a bit skint at the moment :(

Can't believe your selling :( I'm the only riginal sc owner now! Your proving all the original haters right with the " wait 6 months for an I'm selling my sc Clio thread" if I had the money I'd have it for a daily :(
Gasket can be used no need for any sealant as said. Just nip them up tight and be careful when unbolting not to strip the head of the bolt. You will need to drop whole of subframe too. :(
I don't know mate, I would imagine so as he's done loads before and they've been fine, now looking like a summer without the car :(
I didn't have much choice tbh :( the engine was sat out of the car so couldn't drive it anywhere.
Do you think the fire could of actually done something as...
Tensioners were changed, few people now said it probably wasn't tight. The lad who done it is a Renaul Tech and floats about on here. He's saying the fire before could of caused damage but I'm 99.9% sure it wouldn't of as all plastic parts were replaced and only the top tensioner at the back was...
Engine had new belt etc when engine was out so was never tested, took it out for a test run once engine was back in and it seems like the belt has slipped, doing this it's bent valves :( no compression!
What could of caused this to happen?
All up and going, took it for a spin earlier! Missing PAS but no ABS is so sharp on the brakes! Engine feels like it's choking, on WOT it just does nothing, so got a better filter to fit on tomorrow as the one I have is broken and sucking towards charger a lot. Also kept tapping every now and...
Got most bits done today, mate dropped out helping as AYC pump had killed itself on his Evo. But got it running, was a dodgy earth to the fuel pump, although it was hanging on enough to give a continuity. Only subframe to chassis brackets, brake bias valve, bleed brakes and fix the seat in now :D
Still can't get engine to run, so got cracking fixings panels on. External spraying isn't happening for a little bit as it's not really meant to be in workshop were it is so it's now having to be moved! List of things is small now and can actually remember a
throttle cable, rear brake pads...
