As said, exhaust wouldnt make much difference and you already have a de-cat which will make the biggest improvement. Get it on the rollers again if you think it isnt right.
Has it had a full re-build? If it has, then its basically a new engine and so will feel tight for a while.
Why are you going for the volvo 1.7 turbo? The 1.8rsi engine is the same engine with a larger capacity so wouldnt building the turbo onto the 1.8 engine be a better option? cars look nice, shame the photos are out of focus.
was it revoked due to points? also you can sell before finance is up but might aswell fix it, stop using it and sell in feb if thats when finance is up
Waste of time as the boost those cars run is so low it will be barely audible. Also pretty chav on a car like that imo.
Personally I wouldnt even be thinking about engine mods yet! Get some decent mileage on the car first and then consider mods later, but remember what ever you modify will...
springs are different on 1.2, they are the same on 1.4 and 1.6, but different again on the 1*2 iirc. the eibachs are brilliant springs, absolutely loved them on my 1.6.
Personally when I change my car I am going down the leasing option. The way I see it is I am going to change my car every 2-3 years after this one, so why have the bother of selling it and with the right package I can even get it fully maintained so no worried about servicing.
Before people...
when top gear tested the ph1 172 vs. the saxo vts (which we all know is basically a 106GTi) the 172 was quicker on the straights but the Saxo kept with it/gained on it in the corners.
Thats the garage that services my car. They are bying as many Vee's as they can. This one is a good price but they are keeping quiet about the repairs! I looked at this but decided to wait before changing.
