Thats an interesting looking Williams in your avatar ;)
As for the initial question, warm the engine up as you would normally then once warm drive it as hard as you like. Not a clio, but have driven my punto like this and it hasnt missed a beat in 23k miles!
I have never understood why people put old engines in more modern cars. yes the volvo 1.7 turbo engine is good in a mk1, but not a mk2, especially as VAG 1.8t engines would be almsot as esy to drop in and much more tuneable
Love the looks of the Ibiza and really wanted to like it when I test drove one. I took out an Ibiza FR with the revo map and it was fast, handled well but just felt uninspiring :(
If you get 38mpg out of your 1.6 then you aint ragging it! either that the mpg thing is way out! I get less than that in my 1.3 diesel punto when I am ragging it!
thats a really good idea!
Tell you what this detailing lark is getting expensive! Have just been offered a polishing machine aswell! my poor bank balance
I used to get 30-35mpg in my 1.6. Towards the end of owning it though I 'forgot' to get it serviced and about 9months after it was due that was down to about 28mpg.
thanks tez. I was pretty sure it was a sealant, now do i waste my decent polish on his car or use the cheap stuff.... lol.
Will leave the EGP a bit longer then
How long should I leave EGP on? Bottle says 30-60minutes, is that enough or is it worth leaving longer?
Also, think its meguiars 21, is it a polish, sealant or wax? My brother has some he wants me to use tomorrow just not which it is!
Mounting the amp to the sub will be fine. Take a wuick loook at home cinema subs and you will find even the most expensive are active (amp built in) so the same as bolting an amp to the side.
wow, i'd love all my customers to be like you, life would be so simple.
On a serious note though, if they dont care, MAKE them care! As far as you can tell your car isnt the spec you ordered, infact, as far as you can tell they have ripped you off £350
make a list of all the things that are wrong, and complain and say that you dont think the car is the spec you ordered because you cant be sure the right speakers have been fitted ;)
there will always be people saying this setup is too firm, and this setup is bouncy. Basically without trying them you wont know what you think of them. What you can get from reviews is how often the parts fail and from the above, spax fails lots so should be avoided. Never heard anything...
Free Air subs arent really free air when installed in a classic mini because the boot space is so small and isolated its basically a box for the sub!
Dink is right, free air speakers of any description sound about as good as me farting!
