not fibreglass..... as this would crack and cost too much to manufacture in large numbers.
The new laguna though has loads of plastic and aluminium all over it~!!!!
i could only find a few metal bits haha!
oh, and ypu, just teh front wings.....
OH SI......sorry to hear that mate, it would of been fab....
but a 7 rep...ace man!
you gonna use a westy or chaterham chassis?
oh, and make sure the XE lump is one of the Coscast items as youll get better build quality and power out the box.........most og the older astras have...
basically, during teh life of cars, manufacturers will keep sending updates to install as course. Whena car comes into service, they just do, it, not normally telling you. Most owners probably have it done several times now, if your cars is over 1yr old.
and the rough startup is nothing bad...
you couldt get him to take a pic of right inside the ports could you!!!
i wanna see what sort of shaped they ended up with.
oh, i hate the colour scheme though!! ergh
um....£500 is cheap for half decent suspension!!!
the stuff im having made for the cliocups in asia cost abot £1200 a set an they are non adj dampers!
so after seeing what goin into raelly good suspension, its a bargain!
i cant help but think the inlet cam to too far advanced.....try turning back the varnier pulley 1 deg then 2 if it doesnt cure it........ignition timing?
pre ignition could happen of many points....hot carbon buildup on vavle seats might of done it.......although it might of burnt of if it was running lean. But since valves cool through their seats, it might of stayed cool enough not to burnoff, but hot enough to pre ignite....
damn my brain is...
but live axles are more fun! haha
and done get 4WD...ergh, handling is poo on track....unless there is a high rear power bias....like 20/80.
oh, and you know you need a ported head and some cams in sucha light car....man, keep me updated!
well, its all variable!
ona 2ltr 3ltr and 4ltr bottom end, to use the same head, it would assume the same bore.....thus meanign stroke has to increase. And if it came up to the same level @ TDC then teh CR would be substantially higer!!!
do the willy pistons have deeper valve cutouts? and...
detonation happens VERY quickly with N20 ON mate........
and im stumped too..why would the belt snap only when the inlets were open?....surely a larger pressure rise would occur when both inlets and exhaust were closed.....but all our assumptions are based on one cylinder! there are 3 other...
um, sorry for rainig on your parade,
but you wont gain 10bhp from skimming the head and polishing the ports!!!
a nice polish definately WONT help with power....
and for £650 i could go to town on your head....think of a fully flowed head (about 35hrs work!), chemically cleaned, skimmed...

that could possibly explain the damaged pistons.....as it could only be a massive pressure increase.
BUT, that wouldnt explain the igniting of the contents of the inlet manifold...or even since it (N20) was off, the huge spitback experienced, and the detonation would of damaged the pistons...

so it was running on nitrous before it blew?
hmm....there should be enough fuel in teh N20 suspension for all teh O2 to be used up, so leaning would be a weird thing as you were running on already. Pinking would simply be the advance too high.....as i suppose you were running optimax already...
