I thought it looked new actually was going to ask you. Thanks for forwarding the log book.
I'm more of a fan of the stealth on the ph1, if it was ph2 i'd go for recessed but I don't personally think the ph1 suits a recessed exhaust.
Can't get there mate. Insurance doesn't start untill...
Fair enough but if theres demand for insuring modded cars there will be supply. Companies like flux will still do mods.
At the end of the day saying no under 25's having modded cars will just lead to more cars without valid insurance on the road.
This country has the worst policies ever...
Milltek imo. Sounds awsome.
Now reply in my exhaust thread and help me please. Wish I had a 182 because I'd have a Milltek system on no questions asked.
I'm going to be ordering an exhaust system for the 172 within the next week. It needs to go on for insurance purposes because I needed some mods to go on a cheaper modified policy.
I've decided on a K-tec Stealth. Should I go supersport with cat or sports with decat?
Opinions appreciated.
I'd sell it as it Jamie. Its a realy nice car, if I was 17 again i'd realy like it.
With regards to insurance i've got it at 19 on a modded 172, ok it is only ph2 lights and exhaust but I can add more with no increase in premium. Thats with flux. Members like f0xy have had 1.2's with cage's...
If your prepared to maintain it properly it should be reliable. Its worth noting that belt changes etc on the 1*2's are expensive and cannot be neglected.
I will do when I get my hands on a multimeter. I'm also going to check I have the right bulbs in lol
I'm not overly bothered about a rear fog light anyway, never used it in 2 years of driving so I wont miss it.
Thanks for the advice though jord.
Think i'm going to go for a standard stealth then add a decat later if i'm not happy with the sound from the stealth on its own.
Decats sell like hot cakes so if your not happy then they're easy to sell on.
I've swapped the fog and rear light wires over and now the rear lights work. The rear fogs however do not.
My thinking is it has 12 months MOT so i'll just run without a rear fog untill then and then rewire the ph1 lights up for its MOT if I haven't found a fix by then.
I've had it less...
Coming soon. I'm only insured from the 30th and its filthy, I can't drive it round to my nans to clean it :(
I'll get some up tomorrow though, then some more when its clean :D
I'm putting some ph2 rear light on my ph1. I've read the wiring diagram thats fine. My question is how do you get the wires out of the plastic block, do you just have to pull realy hard or is there a method. I don't want to break the pins etc.
I've done a search but couldn't find an answer...
