Nice. Great decision with the dci. I stand by my comment that i'd never buy another non RS Clio in petrol. Infact i'd never buy any petrol car that wasn't a performance orientated model.
Its just the name. Makes people think they're miles faster than a standard 172 for some reason. Technically they should be a little bit quicker, but as everybody on here knows there is nothing in it between any of the 1*2's in standard form.
I'm also not knocking cups, just the idiots who...
Accidents happen but to not appologise is just typical of people in this country.
Hope its sorted for you mate, I wouldn't like to say whether it will be written off but it wouldn't suprise me if it was.
I'm going to get under the car and have a look when I get a chance. It only seems to knock in one place. I might just get some rubber and attach it to whatever its knocking on, obviously not so its touching the exhaust because it would just melt, but just so it damps the knocking.
Awsome car. Forget about the 0-60 time, thats not important, this thing must be awsome to drive. Would love a SC conversion on mine, the power delivery would suite the 172 perfectly.
10/10 mate!
Bugger. The rear exhaust mount was changed a couple of months ago,i'll try and rig something up or just grin and bear it.
At least it isn't all all the time, just a bit annoying.
My ktec stealth is fitted but it knocks when cornering hard or bumps in the road. Its sitting properly on the rubber mounts and if you move it by hand you have to push it up pretty hard to make it knock but it bounces up onto the underbody of the car someimes when you drive it.
Any ideas of...
They're quick cars especially mapped. 172's are reasonably quick but unless your in the right gear 100% of the time a decent turbo'd car either pertol or diesel will pull on you.
I'm loving my 172 at the moment but my next car will have boost, i've only had the 172 for a week and not even...
Think i'll let the garage do it. Its literally 20 seconds away from work and they can do it anyday next week. Its one of those things, one its on it doesn't need touching so for the sake of £25 i'll let them do it.
I've got my ktec stealth now and i'm thinking whether I should fit it DIY or get a garage to do it. I've had a quote for £30 so for that price i'm thinking I may aswell let them do the work.
I've got a trolley jack, axle stands and socket set. I've also got an angle grinder to get the old one...
I agree with interior comments. When I was after my first Clio I wouldn't consider an expression because of the seats.
Will look good when all your plans are carried out though mate. Hope you have better luck with this one.
A couple of the NW lads at the meet on Monday reccomended these to me NATIONAL ALLOYS WIDNES REPAIR WHEELS 0151 495 1880. Had a quote for £35 per wheel with or without tyres for my 15" Oz F1 cups refubed in the standard silver.
