Yea, the car is still running lean. Every sensor has been checked and changed, ecu has been swapped, everything has been tested and still running lean :( Paul is actually stumped! Last thing I knew he was taking loom off his car and testing it on mine as he reckons the loom may have a break...
Engine is running sweet as anything, its just running lean/rich, forget which Paul said now. Has tried numerous ways to get it to run right. This is still just running N/A getting it right first! Hopefully will get some good news tomorrow that its 99% ready to come home :D
Brembo Discs, DS2500 pads and some braided hoses will give you an awesome setup, you don't even need the hoses TBH.
What sort of suspension are you running? It maybe be that its not setup correctly, maybe two hard on the front causing you understeer?
Re: Ben_stevo172 - Supercharged Monaco 172
We had a rolling road day and a friend turned up in his M3. Couldn't get it going at all, even tried the 8 second thing, and loads of other combinations of turning stuff off etc. Could not do it for the life of us lol!
Re: Ben_stevo172 - Supercharged Monaco 172
Only from a certain amount of power, just due to that extra weight over the drive wheels, it will increase grip quite a bit. I can't remember what the rough crossover is. But yes in a way you are right as there is extra weight to push (rather than...
Re: Ben_stevo172 - Supercharged Monaco 172
You do realise that RWD does not give an advantage unless the engine is above the rear axle. FWD WILL get better traction due to the weight over the front axle!
Mine does this a few times when the ABS sensors were unplugged, huge stop at 100mph, back end came round, scared my passenger :p lol! he wasn't expecting it! Your load sensing valve may be knackered or as you say, sensing the car has extra weight in the back due to lowering!
ROFL! That made me laugh! As above, try ripping the handbrake up and controlling it! Why do you think the car dives forward when braking? All the weight is going over the front axle as the wheels are trying to stop it there!
As above 85/15 F/R split! You'd be spinning if the rears were the...
Just spoke to Paul, new 30k engine is in, just plugging the rest back in now! Hopefully getting it on the rollers later to see if this engine is better!
Keep those, the car looks mint. If I had the money and knew you were selling I'd buy that for a run around!
Best looking Ph2 on here after seeing those pics! Love it!
