Checked mine at weekend - 3.5k on the clock. It was a midges todger under half-way on the dipstick. Chucked in another pint, just to top it up. Actually seems quieter at idle now and not as rattly..... Hmmmmmm.

Great pics - that knackered Porsche made me cringe - ouch!
Some nice looking Clios on there - especially Yassers. Whos was the black gold 182?
Glad you all had a great time! Lucky sods!!!!

Saw one of these a few years back down in Theydon Bois where I was staying with a couple of mates. Pulled out from the kerb as a TVR went past. Both gunned it - a decent sound for the ears, a V8 and V10 going at full chat. :)

I know exactly what you mean Ian - Ive spotted somthing similiar in my mine. Im wondering if its something to do with the length of the driveshafts in accordance to the position of the gearbox? Im no engineer, but on my GT, the near-side front would always wear/accelerate quicker and generally...
Mick - anything stand out with your reg plate?
Also, do you have a CS sticker and if so, where?
I see a couple of Cups on the way in. Youve said you do the M65 a bit, so Ill look out for you!
Hey Chris - its the first time Ive heard of you driving the Cup! ;)

sh*t scary. Not being funny but I think major faults like this should be rectified under a recall - regardless of the cost....
What happens if this happens to someone on the outside lane of a motorway at 70mph+?

Hows best to wash to cloths and stuff that you use to wax your cars with? Obviously, I dont quite like the idea of bunging them into the washing machine - just in case the wax residue stays in the machine itself.
Is it simply a case of washing them in the sink with hot water and some washing...
The 182 rims are nice and easy to clean too - the last set of Momo feckers I had were a ball-ache. Definitely a lesson learn there - never get a set of fussy-looking alloys, even if they are the ones you really want!
Ive decided - the Mini will get a jizzing this weekend too! :D Clare - youre...
Yikes - Id agree with silvercup182 on this - it was the one dreaded sight I never wished to see everytime I lifted the bonnet on my GT. Thankfully, it never happened - if it is the gasket thats gone, at least you have the luxury of warranty cover!

Just a thought - how many people on here wash their wifes/girlfriends car at the same time that they wash their own?
I used to do it almost religiously, but increasingly, Im usually just washing my own. I hope this doesnt make me a bad husband?!
Maybe I should pull my...
Mike172Sport - as Ive said before m8, theres a market out there for different voice modules on GPS sat-nav systems....
Imagine being told by a porno womans voice that youre a bad boy for taking the wrong turn. Hmmm. Ok, I think Ill take the next wrong turn too... ;)

LOL - if the engines standard, Id love to hear the 0-60 time, trying to rotate those 19s and with £5k of stereo stuff in it! Milk-float racing, anyone? ;)

Well, Ive passed four RS Clios this morning on the way into work - two 172 Cups, one blue and one silver 172. I let onto all of them and didnt get one response.
The only one Id let off would be the woman in the silver 172. We passed each other on opposite sides of the M66, so a combined...
The Highway Code drastically needs updating. Brake tech has moved on so much since those days. I think those brake distances merely apply to trucks these days! :p

Its been fine so far (apart from the annoying engine creak). Great handling, great car and like most people on here, I really like the extra surge higher up the rev range...
Had it since the start of December last year, so Im still learning what it can do!
Whereabouts are you off the M60?
D.
LOL m8!
Just the same as me. Give it the full AutoGlym once-over on Saturday and the damn thing looks like I didnt even bother!
Does look good when clean though, doesnt it?!
D.
Funny that - mine does it occassionally when I try to select reverse. Works ok when I select 1st and then try reverse again. Interesting comment about changing the gearbox oil - Ill bare that in mind....

I suppose in a way, if your car is written off, you know that no one else can do anything to it..... It sounds a little mad (and probably selfish) but Id probably feel better seeing my car wrecked that to see it neglected, ragged and clearly in a bad shape through its current owner who clearly...
Felt like that m8 when I saw my Punto Sporting (my first car) about a year after I sold it. The couple who owned it had just got out of it, so I pulled up behind them and had a quick chat.
They clearly looked after it, but it was my first ever car and I would have really like to have driven it...
