escobar - thumbs up m8. I fully agree with what youre saying. I got to the big 30 last December and upon seeing tools like these (why do they pick petrol stations???!) it makes me smirk as well.
Weve all done chavtastic moments in our driving - purposely letting go a full pressure load out...
Whereabouts are you m8? I had mine done at Rapid Fit in Blackburn for £130 all in. That looks to be a typical price, unless youve got access to the right equipment and can just buy the tyre alone. Cheapest quote I got for the tyre (I think?) was around £96.

Short of having inbuilt GPS trackers, theres not much we can, is there? Ive had strong suspicions when my ex-GT was at Fiat, that it had been run ragged. Theres not much proof that carries any weight and unfortunately, youre left with trust and trust alone.
I know how pissed you feel, vee6...
.... if you could have just one feature off your previous car(s) in a Clio, what would it be?
Mines really trivial, but the boot release catch on my Punto was great! I wish that was on my 182....

LOL - I think the same applies for all of us - we worry too much! :D
Having said that, theres a small list of vehicles that I wont park anywhere near in a car park, just in case they slam their door into yours, etc....
Stupidly large 4x4s - way to unwieldly and they probably couldnt tell...
Each to their own, I suppose. Its not bighps fault that he likes the GTi - obviously his prescription is wearing off. The CTR I agree with and hey, Ive got a 182 and its not to everyones taste. It doesnt feel quick on the uptake (something I felt in exactly the same way with the CTR I drove) and...
Managed to get a 5-week old Punto Sporting (1.6 8v model) as soon as I started working. Pretty lucky I guess - almost new and nothing went wrong with it.
Mine seems to sit around 31.2-31.8 for the most part. Probably 50/50 split on motorway/normal roads. Im wondering as the miles rack up, if the MPG rate will increase as the engine loosens up?

Jeezuz Horace - doing 80 in a 40? Im suprised they didnt throw the book at you!!!
I must admit guys - you lot down south seem to have a lot more of the Big Brother Is Watching your Speed Syndrome than we do up here. Im not saying that the M/Cr area is free of cameras and stuff, but on the...
I would happily lose my licence with a full 12-pointer hit on it, if I could run-over and wheelspin on one of these t**sers heads.
They are scum. Nothing but.
Really sorry to hear that m8 - especially when youve done nothing wrong. Even if you had p*ssed someone and they were after revenge...
Ive no way of proving/disproving this, but here goes...
My car is 6 weeks old and since Ive had it, it pulls very slightly to the right. Hardly noticable most of the time, but every now and then, you could feel it. Id always put it down to the camber of the road, etc, so I wasnt particularly...
Adam - getting my knackered rear one replaced today. Cheapest I got was £128 inc. fitting (wish Id thought of Cosco, Kiev.... :()
Bit concered with the fact that the new rear will be a W rated tyre and the other three are V rated. Hope it makes no difference to the handling. Top speeds...
LOL - should we all "Contact our Renault dealer...." and ask where the hell it is under our bonnets? Still got my Chavtastic DV26 dump valve knocking about somewhere - it would be great on the 182 :)

What are the views on cleaning stuff for the Clio? Ive used Auto Glym stuff for years and found that its bloody good and the shine lasts for quite some time afterwards. Especially if you use the additional polish once its dried.
Any suggestions for good-non abrasive wheel cleaning fluid as...
I never use the 182 for work business - only driving too and from the place drinks enough! If I had to use it though, Id get 35p per mile. 18p is really taking the p*ss out of you m8.

Hi Nikki - welcome to the forum!
Its a good point about the Cup and non-Cup insurance prices. I think most of us will agree, there were significant differences between the 172 and 172 Cup in terms of weight saving, optional extras, speeds and even list prices, thus making a noticable...
Nearly lost the wifes Cooper S at the Bury roundabout in December. A low tyre pressure at the rear was the culprit, but that thing gave no warning.
I really dont see why the motoring press praises the Cooper S so much. Its quick and nippy (especially low down the rev range) but compared to...
They are superb - a bit ga-ga at times, but I really miss them when I drive a car without auto wipers. It amuses me how the lazy-get Frenchies couldnt be bothered to switch the wiper motion over for us right-hand drive Brits - the bloody passenger gets a clearer view of the road than the driver...
So long as they dont go down the VAG Golf GTi route - bigger, heavier, pricier - all cancelled out by hike in performance. Give it another ten years and the Mk23 Golf GTi will weigh 2.5 tons, but have solar integrated sat-nav climate control, fridge, sunbed and 85-CD autochanger. It will be...
....... is there any such car in the offering? With Hondas Type-R benchmark just a smidgen under 200bhp, are we likely to see Renault raise the bar to 192bhp with the next revision?
Anyone heard/seen anything to prove/disprove this?
Cheers,
D.
