by a black mk2 ph2 in brierly hill/merry hill. i've got a blue mk2 ph1 with ph2 lights and 172 spoiler - you were behind me - also have a cs sticker in the back window,oh and a loud twin exhaust
i see what your saying about the gains, but remember the 2.0 172 engine is already in a tned state, the 1.6 isnt, and is the base engine for the super1600 cars. My figures are based on things BenR has mentioned with regards to the 1.6 16v, as heavily modifying a 1.6 16v is something i am...
yes. they wopuld class as them as aftermarket alloys as they are not an option for that car. You have declare them even as an optional extra these days
In genral yes cotton is more free flowing, but the ITG foam filters are excellent, and as I have said earlier, they are deemed the best renault by many tuners and modders alike.
yes they work fine on standard dampers. I have pro's on standard dampers and they are fantastic. If i ever get round to buying uprated shocks I'm either going with the eibachs or konis, think i'm leaning towards eibach tho.
edde cams and remap alone should get you to 160bhp on the 1.6 16v. With the headwork i would imagine it would be even more.
As edde said though, I would speak to BenR abnout cams for the 1.6 16v. I am actually looking into selling my 1.6 8v to buy a 1.6 16v to do this kind of modding
the ITG filters are generally accepted on here to be the best replacement panel filter you can get. Personally I have no experience of them, but have only ever heard good things about them.
In response to saying go for H&R's, the guy said he wanted only a very small drop (20 - 30mm), which...
isnt the ktec map just the superchips map? as for insurance, if you bought the car second hand, with things like a remap you can claim ignorance. There was a big write up on this on here not that long ago, and what it basically said was that insurance companies cant void your insurance for...
1) ITG Panel
2) Would recomend eibach pro springs and dampers, very litle change in ride height but much better handling. Maybe gor for sportline srpings for little bit more noticeable drop.
3) I think the k-tec stealth (hidden) exhaust sounds ok, but if you dont know its got a stealth your...
what do you want from them? lots of drop with improved handling or smaller drop and best handling?
For big drop go for something like apex or spax 60mm drop - i'd recomend matching shocks
For a smaller drop - 40mm - with better handling go eibach sportlines.
his score ios made up by repeat purchasers as said above, but check the times of the acutions of those repeat purchasers, all ending at the same time on the same day, i smell a scam
go for eibach sportlines, better drop and same handling. and go for the viper if its at cost, cant see it being much worse, thats if theres any difference than the ITG
Ok, before anyone says, dont bother just get a 172/182 I DONT WANT ONE! This is what I want to do, and I want advice on my chosen plans, so please, no pointless comments about just getting a Renault Sport.
Right, having read quite a bit aboput the 1.6 16v, and the fact its the same base...
