Dash out?? I just pulled the wire under the carpet and it came straight out? Obviously it wasn't connected as I had an aftermarket stereo.

Woah chill out buddy! :p I had exactly the same problem. Bought a new unit, saw it was different but fitted it anyway. They sit exactly the same apart from the little purple spring at the top, now they come with a black cone shaped bit of metal instead. Haven't had any problems...

Just thought I'd point it out in case no one else noticed and you got them printed like that :)

Didn't even realise you could adjust the front dampers. Got the rear ones set halfway so I assume the fronts are the same. Tbh I couldn't tell much difference when I turned the little switch all the way to the left or right after taking it on a little drive. I only drive mine on the road...

Might be worth changing to a later date or see if anyone can make it after BTCC :p

I had to have the offside damper replaced as it was shot. Fluid leaking out the top and once removed, you could push/pull the gas strut with ease. Hopefully just a faulty batch or something :dapprove:

I don't think mine have the metal ring around them mate.

Get standard size rear ones mate. 84mm is correct for the front.

As far away from the engine as possible :p It won't really matter on a road car tbh as the heat soak won't be a massive problem.

Crappy photo but: You just remove the original airbox and hose, then fit that massive black pipe and the actual cone filter. It was a bit fiddly around the back of the engine but simple enough in theory.

Not sure how hard they are to fit to a 1.2 but on my old 1.6 it wasn't too difficult :)
