yes air will be colder, as for a heat shield buy one for a genII k&n and just fit that

it'll be 15" pro race 2's in white with 195/50/15 - think that'll make just £350!, might have to have them sooner than i intended!

make up a heat shield that'll solve it

looks lovely, wheels look almost the same colour as the car, much nicer than all black, all anthracite instead :D

idle control valave is what makes sure your revs dont drop too low at idle, could just need cleaning or could need replacing, not sure how easy it is on clio's but on my old fiesta it was a case of undoing one nut un plugging it and a reversal of that to fit a new one. Think you can clean them...
