for some reason students get one of the best rates for a set age and driving history. Insurnace companies probably think they havent got enough money to put much petrol in, lol.
being a student gives you a lower premium then most jobs, try being an estate agent, as soon as you mention that you pay top whack for insurance. I've got 2yrs ncb, am 20, 1 minor accident, good post code, still cheapest quote for a mk1 172 and a 182 is £2000
has - i spoke to them september for my renewal, and they told me that they can accpet mods on people currently insured with them, but for new policies (or trying to get a better renewal price) that wont insure mods as they now use a different underwriter. Might be they have changed back...
lowered 60mm on uprated shocks will improve the handling. It will lower the centre of gravity, redcue body roll, and as uprated suggests, its BETTER suspension, which equates to better handling. Your car WILL NOT out handle a lowered 172/182, as they have BETTER suspension setups as standard...
nothing you do to a 1.2 other than suspension and brakes is really gonna give you any noticeable benefit. a k&n and a nice exhaust will make u think its faster and it'll sound better
As much as i love sleepers, i dont think the rsi is one. Now an rsi with heavy modification is an excellent sleeper. Anyway, just my opinion, if i was buying a mk1, and didnt know about the 16v and bought an RSi I would be gutted when I found out for the ssame kinda money I could have had that.
