Started ripping out ecu and ecu loom last night, just finished to tonight now so I have just the main car loom in!
It was a right mess and only had to cut and join 3 wires!
PLumbing shall commence at weekedn finally and hoepfully enough time to wire it up and fire it up :D
Re: ***East Anglia Meet - October time im thinking***
I only did my first trackday in my road car the other day, should also have my clio ready for then, fingers crossed?
Think it could make sense being a car club, and one of the best cars for the track :D
Its ok, I'm trying to get time to save them all to my HDD then put them up for ya!
Was speaking to someone at GDi about you wednesday! You sold an engine to them.
Popping up there tomorrow to have a look if you fancy popping down about 10! lol!
Not turning over yet as plumbing still not...
3 are good if you have 3G from 3, if your not in an area they sponge of Orange it used to be 02 but now think they have changed again as I can't get signal in certain places again?!
You need the VAG Turbo lump to fit the VAG box, I would of thought!
UPDATE: Manifold now fits as it should not fouling anything!
One step closer!
Remapping is booked for the 5th October for a little inspiration!
I used money supermarket and it came up with Bell, went on Bell website and got an extra 100 quid off :)
Money supermarket are good! just give a crap email otherwise you get loadsa junk!
Just a small after work meet would be good maybe, get people to know each other!?
Rain at Red Lodge is no go because they leave dry tyres on and never change them to suit conditions!
Powerflow in Bury St edmunds.
They're good mates of mine and good lads!
They made up the bend and Y pieces for me then my dad welded it.
Were in the third stage of getting the manifold ready! Little adjustments keep needing to be done!
Also been looking at Jenvey ITB's as I'm running...
Right couple of engine pics and one of the manifold being trial fitted.
Needs a bit of adjustment but looks the nuts!
And my new favourite place to sit!
Only 200 quid fo the pair!
Manifold got started tonight!
Completely changing it now using 2" pipe instead of standard which is a tad bigger than 1 3/4".
4 bend's to 2 Y pieces, then hopefully 2 pipes under car until first box!
Only in the way if it was to come out the same way as all the other ones, I'm just lengthening it and taking it the same route as the 16v one under everything!
Well, I have no more pics!
BUT I am making the manifold tomorrow night, mine needs to be lengthened to fit under the PAS rack! :(
Omex also came through at the weekend which is now half plugged in!
Still waiting for plumbing to be done then hoepfully should be a good job!
Didn't take me too long! Renault sport Logo was an after thought.
Wheels I can't remember what they are but they're actually 24" ones modelled on a landrover lol!
I did go mad with carbon fibre because the wings needed it because the skirt and lip looked out of place then thought better...
Saw another guys photoshop attempt at a 172 and reminded me of one I did a year back!
Thought I'd share it with you to see what you all reckon!
Will post up some other's I have done over the years if you like it!
Original
Special edition :p
Sorry if its in the wrong place mods :)
I have owned both, well a valver anyway :p
And they are both the same,
The valver handled nicely as did the 106, but the 106 sat quite high and was a bit prone to roll on some corners.
Gti was good fun to drive as it was a lot smaller it felt quicker, but it was fooking quick anyway...
