Theres two different kinds - SMI makes one, and I think its TRW the other. Believe the TRW ones to be not that common place at least on ph2 cars. TRW racks have the name embossed on it, SMI racks have a label/no label. Also the track rod ends are different between the two I believe.
I use Total transmission BV 75w80, its reasonably priced and fully synthetic. Lots of people on here use 75w90 as its cheaper and easier to get hold of, just make sure you get the right GL spec!
I use the extendable nozzles that come on hypoid gear oil bottles (had some kicking about from an old Discovery). Piece of pipe and you can squeeze the bottle to fire it in super quick
I wouldnt use a 10w40, and definitely nothing other than a big brand fully synthetic. I personally use valvolene synpower 5w40.
I read what fred said too about castrol and the only thing I use that is in my old TU 8v considering it only costs £12
Yes to press the old bush out, I used a big socket to cover the bush and then pressed it out - its nice easy way of winding it out without too much effort
