Think the pre face lift CTR (before 2004) are 6.6 to 60 and 6.4 there after.
I dont think you "would hammer it" but probaly match it for pace with the power to weight ratio...
The CTR VTec's at 5600rpm so its got to be revved uber hard to get the most out of it, it would be an intresting...

Cant say ive noticed, although i can say when iwas driving it back form aberdeen (bought it there) I noticed the temp guage slowly dipping then going back to normal, done it twice then not seen it happen since, it should be fine

The EK9 (B16BR) I reckon would probaly beat a vts and vti (Standard)
If we start talking mods then i have no idea, no two cars are built the same and then you have to take the drivers,conditions etc etc into consideration, we would be here all...
Prise it open then use somthing like a screwdriver to "un-attatch" it from the door, i know it feels like the plastic is gonna break but dont worry it just feels more stubborn that it really is :)
Similar position just sold my Saxo VTS for one and i disagree.
On paper its nearly a second quicker to 60, torque is superior lower down the rev range:S
Dont take anything short of a Grade 3.5 if you get one...

I wouldnt worry about it too much mate my car seems "restricted" until the cars been warmed up, but then no car should be driven hard until properly warmed...
