engine temps

hi

noticed my engine bay gets very very hot yesterday.the temp gauge was showing normal but the engine felt silly hot, anyone else have this problem?is it normal?

yeah loads of heat could cook an egg on it lol.but no warning lights and runs sweet as a nut.

yeah i would nt worry bud, iv noticed compared to other cars the clio engine bay does feel rather hot,but then again its a big engine shoved in a little car lol wouldnt worry about it bud

Mine never really feels that hot even after very long journeys, it doesn't drink hardly any oil either.

im worryed now,car doesnt burn any oil or water just seemed silly hot under the bonnet.

guess i best take it to get looked at

ps can you touch the inlet manifold after its run?or would it cook your hand lol

if you want to get it looked at mate then do it, it all depends on if you have been town driving,short driving etc ,sometimes i can hold my hand on my inlet mani other days it burns my frigging hand off lol

Same hear, round town its toasty inn there & after motor way runs its a fair bit cooler, as mentioned above, big enine in a small place

Cant say ive noticed, although i can say when iwas driving it back form aberdeen (bought it there) I noticed the temp guage slowly dipping then going back to normal, done it twice then not seen it happen since, it should be fine
