The dash strips are really easy, they just pull off and there easy to wrap too because its a simple shape. Think vent surrounds would look good but haven't seen it done before
No worries :) The front diamond is held on with 3 clips, really easy to pull off. Some people say the clips are really fragile but I never had any problems, just use something to lever it off with.
The back diamond however is a pig to get off :( Once you've opened the boot and took the plastic...
Haha maybe a torch would help? :p
Tbh I thought you meant look from inside the boot once you'd taken the black plastic trim off lol, it's very easy to see weather it's pins or not if you do that :)
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Yeah I thought that too :p not bad for £12 :)
Haha cheers :) went a bit carbon mad when I first got the car, it was literally anything that I managed to pull off :p
Calmed down a bit now though but yeah think the speakers would look good with blue and carbon :)...
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Hi mate, I got the gearstick and airbag decal from spray shack - http://www.spray-shack.co.uk/
Was only about £3 for both inc p&p, probs be a bit more for you seeing as your from Netherlands but yeah :)
Bet they do loads of different colours as well, you'll have to ask...
Mines never snapped before but if it starts to go hard just apply more heat so it stretches again :)
Think I've done quite a bit of wrapping and don't wanna go OTT but I saw someone had done their center conole and thought it looked pretty good. Hmm... xD Maybe I'll try it idk, got loads spare...
Or just look with your eyes? :p
An even easier way to see if its on pins is to try and wiggle the badge. If its stuck, its not gonna move, but if its on pins it should move a little :)
I took my Clio badge off when I sprayed mine black. Think the easiest way to remove it is from the inside of the boot lid. Just pull off the black plastic trim (its only held on by about 8 clips which won't break) :) this way your Clio badge isn't going to snap or the pins wont snap. Just get a...
Hey guys,
So we've all seen things that have been carbon wrapped. May it be the usual hazard surrounds to bullets or diamonds to dash-strips.
What I want to see is your best carbon wrapping skills on different parts of your clio :)
I'll start by showing my spoiler and speaker surrounds :)...
Hey mate, I haven't changed it but taking off the 16v bullet is dead easy :) it just pulls off if you get something behind to lever it. I carbon wrapped mine so it looks a bit different. Some people paint the lettering or smooth it off completely then spray paint the whole thing :)
Done! :D Looks much better :)
Full process of splitter fitting is at the bottom of this page :)

Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
UPDATE: Splitter is now fitted (Pic Heavy...)
Decided I needed to change my existing splitter a while ago because it was scraped and bent from the previous owner :/
I also wasn't keen on the holes in the front and wanted a smoother look.
So I brought a Skoda splitter...
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Thanks mate :) got the 3/4 plate from fancyplates.com. Just so you know, they aren't exactly road legal but make the front end look much tidier :)
Will be fitting the splitter on friday, I'll get some photos up :)
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Ah cheers may as well use self tappers then, my dad's mate's got a Clio Sport and used self tappers on his Skoda splitter as well, said it holds fine.
Didn't manage to get it done yesterday but hopefully soon, maybe Friday.
Also found a few more photo's floating...
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Here's another photo from the meet :)
And here's my car at college, my mates thought they'd play a little joke on me :p
UPDATE: Going to try and fit the Skoda splitter tomorrow if I can find the ramps :)
Self tappers or rivets? Hmm... :S
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Put the CS decal on this morning after a giving the car a good clean
Then it was off to the meet at The Lincoln Pride Pub.
When I first got there, there was only one other person waiting and after a while we thought no one else was coming.
Then slowly, everyone else...
New plates look nice mate :) the front one doesn't look as obvious as mine so doubt police will notice when your driving round :p
I'm liking the headlights as well, look much better than the standard orange ones :)
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Guess I'll have to keep my eyes open then :) not looking to lower it just yet but can start looking lol :p
Haha twins :p shame were not from same area, cars would look good together :)
Think that means you want both plates white reflective? You don't want that :p
I just went for plain and simple and didn't check any of the boxes at the end: honeycomb, both plates white reflective, 10 % slanted text
Here's what they look like :)
Re: MY CLIO 1.6 PROJECT
Yeah there's loads round where I live too so maybe 40mm would be a good idea and yeah I will do :) It cost £12 from Skoda Parts
Shouldn't be too hard :)
And I haven't thought about coilovers, purely because of price really, maybe if I could find some cheap ones or...
