I ran parade spec 2'a in this size an I can't fault them, yes there not as good in the wet but there not as terrible as people make out. At the end of the day you drive to the conditions. For the money I don't think there bad tyre
Got me 197 in bits doing the Cambelt, got all the Renault tools the crank pin, 1496 can locking took an 1801 an 1509-01 now before I whip the belt off I'm checking the timing. Cranks locked but can't quite get the 1496 in the end of the cams, looks like the exhaust can is slightly out. What to...

Well todays been one of them days, was hoping to get round to doing me cambelt on me 197, but due to the golf being abit of a pain it soon went out the window.
Well anyway heres the outcome of todays efforts
New black hood (mohair) fitted
Looks alot better, those first few pics look like the originals have took there toll of nasty harsh chemicals (like used down your local polish car wash) I keep mine nice an fresh using autoglym bumper gel ;)
Yeah, whip the plugs out too an see what colour they are. Always a good indication.

Don't like to guess tbh, is it doing it constantly yet or still when warm? The problem could still lye within the ignition system i.e plugs, leads or coilpack. If i lived closer i'd come sort it for ya lol but theres a few hundred miles between us haha
Could be the coil pack cause cylinders 2 and 3 do spark together (due to wasted spark ignition) but first off try sparking it off the inlet, swap leads to just to makesure its not them
