common courtesy not to take pics of other people's kids IMHO, its an unwritten rule that everyone should instinctively know and understand. I wouldn't be happy with someone taking pics of my daughter.

I've never bothered with insurance, I'm always careful with my phones and should I ever lose one for all the years I've never had a policy it would probably cost me less to just replace the phone myself.
