Bottom casing come off with THREE screws, one right down the bottom of the casing, two sunk into the middle.
They're all T25 torx bits if I remember rightly.
I went down to a local motor factors, and asked him to just grab me the top engine mount for a kangoo etc. at first he brought back to wrong one, but after asking to see if there were any others he found it.
TBH it's a pretty distinctive mount, so you should be able to tell it from the wrong one.
Jesus H Christ.
The guy can't speak english, doesn't want to see the car, and wants to pay using paypal.
Honestly, if the guy turned up doing with an arctic lorry with "I'm a bloody scammer, don't trust me" written along it I don't think he could have been more obvious.
OWZ Rules old car? I've been trying to contact this guy for AGES!!!!
Damn, looks like he won't becoming back now...
Cool car though, very unique.
Might be pushing it a bit, but have you got his number?? I just wanted to ask him something about a guide he wrote.
Oh and the only thing I'd...
No they don't mate, it's all about bolt spacing. Different models have different bolt spacing, yours certainly won't have the same spacing as a 1.2, .4 or .6...
Very weird, why are you using enamel paint though? Try your tin of lacquer with some standard halfords spray, see if you get the same results...
If you do, dodgy tin of lacquer.
Link to other project? This looks like it'll be interesting, but can I ask... (without meaning to sound rude), why put an engine from a crappy MG in such a cool car?
Re: White Trackday 172 Project
Chers for the reply...
I'd intend to TBH mate, I want to freshen up the whole front end, and eventually even go as far as having my shocks refurbed (but I don't know anyone who does this yet).
I'm quite sure on my original MOT for the car is says some play in...
