tegiwa stuff is good quality stuff, i know the lads from there personally, did a sprint day with them up curborough sprint course! to say my old 172 upset some of the honda boys would be a understatment haha
Well i'm a mechanic buy trade an she knows I like tinkering an tbh i wanna keep this one rather standard an easy to live with, An yes she certainly knows how to keep me happy ;)
Well few sundays ago I decided to go wonder round me local car supermarket for a gander, At the time I had a pretty clean, tastfully modified 172 which i loved but after a good look round a 197 an a test drive an a deal I couldn't refuse I decided to do a little swap.
The old 172 which some of...
Thats a joke! Wouldn't expect that sort of service of me local parts supplier! let a lone a renault dealer! No wonder there not doing to well at the moment.
I haven't long just traded in my mint phase 2 172 for a 197 an tbh i'm glad i did. At first when i got the 197 i wasn't sure but the more i drive it the more i love it! 0-60 there proberly isn't much in it but its certaiinly quicker to 100 but tbh i am more impressed with the handling, it runs...
I've just traded in my ph2 172 which i'd mucked about with for a 197 an tbh i don't think i'd be trading it back. Stick with the 197 as they get more popular you'll be able to get more goodies!
impressive build thats for sure but can't really see it taking off, the costs would be stupid no doubt double figures. More of a marketing toy but very good!
tbh i go with a few good mates an the lads from rer devlopments casue they run in the esc competition, i'll admit it does attract a few wronguns but you'll get that wherever you go. Just a good weekend away with mates really an abit of 1/4 mile action
i went last year with a load of pals, good tbh usually a decent line up for night time entertainment (i.e big top bcm nightclub, an live stage stuff. Think it was roll deep an artful dodger last year). Plus a good wide range of performance cars. I'll b there this year for the three days...
Looks good mate, never thought renaults would be as popular over there. Had a quick browse over your forum an really impressed mate, prices do seem high as you said though.
Cracking project mate, got yourself a nice little 172 there. Just a quick one though what sort of method did you use to paint the subframe an wishbones? I tempted to whip mine of you see an get a friend of mine to powder coat them. An again, top work!
